The Chief Financial Officer serves as a partner to the management team and Board of Directors identifying opportunities to improve the delivery of professional services for the benefit of the company and clients. The CFO oversees proposals and pricing of services and is responsible for the performance of the accounting department. Ownership potential.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
An accredited bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
A minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience including large firms of at least $150 million in revenue. Professional service firm experience preferred
A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading a department including direct supervision
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, bank relationships, lease management, and risk management.
Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems. Deltek Vantagepoint preferred.
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, “GAAP” and the corporate tax environment.
Experience conducting mergers and acquisitions including evaluating potential targets, conducting thorough due diligence, negotiating transaction terms, and ensuring the financial health of the company remains stable throughout the process

Department Manager
with at least 10 years of experience to lead the civil engineering department in the Downtown Los Angeles office.
This role offers the opportunity to manage projects, mentor engineers, and contribute to the strategic growth of the Downtown LA office. The
Civil Engineering Department Manager
will oversee the operations, business development, and project execution for the civil engineering department. This role involves technical leadership, staff development, and client relationship management to ensure high-quality project delivery and team performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff.
Oversee workload distribution, staffing decisions, and employee performance evaluations.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
Manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, maintaining quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
Provide technical oversight and quality control for designs, reports, and deliverables.
Serve as a subject matter expert in civil engineering design, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
Identify and pursue business opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, municipalities, and key stakeholders.
Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and project scope discussions.
Develop and manage department budgets, revenue forecasts, and financial performance.
Oversee efficient resource allocation and utilization within the department.
Monitor project profitability and implement process improvements as needed.
Applicants must be well versed in all aspects of civil engineering land development, including project management, multidiscipline coordination, site layouts, grading plans, storm water management facilities, low impact design, water quality best management practices, and utilities. Experience with public utility project and/or Los Angeles experience will be looked upon favorably.
The successful individual will be assisting our business development team and other discipline leads in developing technical proposals, and take a proactive lead role in marketing clients. You must be able to market team capabilities as well as perform technical design and consulting services to a high level of satisfaction to a diverse group of clients.
Compensation and Benefits
Approximate Base Salary - $140,000 - $170,000 annually

The Marketing Specialist I will serve as a key member of the Marketing Team responsible for the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials for each of the firm's sectors of work (Aviation, Transportation, Development, Facilities). This individual will work with each of the firm's offices throughout each of the firm's geographic regions and will be expected to manage a variety of proposals and presentations throughout the entire life cycle of the proposal process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (may include but are not limited to):
Respond to Private and Federal, State, and Local/Municipal Government proposal requirements for a wide range of consulting engineering services.
Assemble and prepare proposals and presentations for selected projects and contracts.
Collaborate and work closely with Principals, Project Managers, Graphic Designers, and Senior Marketing Staff on proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials.
Promote AVCON's brand and mission through compelling content, storytelling, designated themes, and custom messaging. Finish
Utilize and maintain/update Client Relationship Management (CRM) database.
Manage and maintain/update company marketing materials.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with between three to seven years of experience who is passionate about the fire protection engineering profession and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth.
The successful individual will have professional experience in providing consulting to clients in various aspects of fire protection engineering. Manages the workload of the Electrical Design team.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical
10+ years of formal training and experience in Electrical engineering with at least five (5) years as a Technical Team Leader.
Must have experience as a group leader or project engineer on complex, multi-discipline engineering design or projects.
Sufficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit to manage work of staff using these computer software products.
Understanding of the National Electrical Code.
