All Counselors receive extensive training and certification essential for working with this under-served population. Responsibilities
At Endeavor, our Counselors function as members of a multidisciplinary treatment team. A successful candidate should be flexible, open-minded, and empathetic.
Provide individual and group therapy utilizing a range of evidence-based practices and curriculum
Assess risk and needs utilizing a comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment and developing treatment goals
Demonstrate strong clinical decision making and judgment skills while independently managing an integrated caseload of people pursuing forensic, mental health, and substance use goals
Engage in continuing education and training, fostering the skills necessary to effectively treat high-risk populations
Participating in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and communicating appropriately with referral sources
Foster cultural competence and sensitivity when working with people, people's supports, referral sources and coworkers.
Responsibility for ensuring compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and governmental regulations including, but not limited to HIPAA
Qualifications
Must possess a master's degree from a recognized college or university in a mental health counseling or social work-related field and be eligible for license within 18 months of hire (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMHC-P, etc.)
One year of direct service, post-graduate, experience preferred, but not required.
Demonstrates a knowledge base upon which they can provide direct clinical service and advisement
Salary $50,000 - $60,000/year depending on education, experience, and credentials. Potential to earn an additional $4,000 per year through performance-based bonuses.

Responsibilities:
Maintain a caseload of approximately 30-35 one-hour patient sessions per week, dependent on program needs
Refer patient to needed care within JRCHC or to outside resources
Provide individual, group, or family therapy
Route patients to appropriate community programs and teams
Facilitate and triage referrals from various referral sources
Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment
Adhere to the standards outlined in the Code of Ethics
Complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner
Submits service activity logs, weekly and monthly schedules, time sheets and mileage to the Behavioral Health Manager.
Ensure licensure is in good standing, including upkeep of continuing education requirements
Develop treatment plans for patients
Complete thorough patient assessment
Qualifications:

About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Adult Outpatient - Mental Health & Addictions, the Clinical Therapist, as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, is responsible for the delivery of time-limited, evidence-based psycho-social assessments and treatments to adults (19 years and older) with Tier-3 mental disorders and Substance Use Disorders. All services are provided within a Stepped Care framework and practice is guided by disorder-based clinical care pathways. Each clinician participates in a consultation group to ensure collegial support, accountability, and effectiveness of assessments and treatments.
It is an expectation that the Clinical Therapist will act in a professional and ethical manner, following all recognized codes of ethics, standards, legislation, and guidelines relevant to clinical practice and profession. They will convey respect and a solid understanding of subtle and complex diversity and inclusion issues as they relate to specific groups.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Master's Degree in a clinical health-related discipline (Masters in Social Work, Psychology, Masters in Counseling, Masters in Nursing, or Masters in Occupational Therapy)
Current registration with relevant provincial regulatory body or eligible
Minimum two (2) years' related experience required including assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and discharge planning
In-depth and critical understanding of the principles of harm reduction, the dynamics of addiction, and evidence-based interventions for the treatment of addiction
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used (DSM-5) for the classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in individual/ group cognitive behavioral therapy as well as psycho-educational groups
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in crisis intervention, suicide, and violence risk assessment/ intervention
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently with limited supervision and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Basic competencies in relation to identifying and treating concurrent mental health and substance use disorders
Experience in interviewing, counseling, and teaching health concepts to individuals, families, and groups
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in collaborating with families in relation to sharing information, and implementing family-sensitive services that involve families in the care and recovery of people living with mental illness and addiction
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Licensed and registered Creative Arts Therapist will oversee the experience requirement of BHSC music therapy applicants applying for licensure in New York State in Creative Arts Therapy. The supervisor will provide oversight, guidance, and direction to the applicant in developing skills as a Creative Arts Therapist, according to standards required by the Office of Professions and New York State Education Department.

Responsibilities:
Occupational Therapist:
Initiates skilled occupational therapy treatments in accordance with physician's orders; maintains required contact with physician.
Maintains written evaluations, progress notes, MDS records and discharge summaries for individuals in occupational therapy program.
Confers with other health care staff regarding special needs of indviduals to enhance rehabilitation or maintenance of function.
Provides input for Care Planning meetings and attends during absences of the Director of Occupational Therapy.
Maintains statistical records of indviduals' treatments.
Assists with in-service training programs upon request.
Records and updates individual's care plan.
Submits requisition for supplies needed in the treatment of individuals to Director of Occupational Therapy.

Qualifications:
Occupational Therapist:
Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy required.

Focused on healing and growth, our dedicated staff provides treatment in small-group settings, helping children and families overcome obstacles and address traumatic experiences that have impacted their ability to live at home. Through comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision, we equip children and families with the skills needed for a successful transition, either back to their home or to an alternative living arrangement.
The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for the assessment and delivery of quality mental health care to the youth and families served in Children's Residential Program. The Mental Health Therapist works as a member of an inter-disciplinary team to develop, assess, and modify the individual service plan. The person in this position will provide both individual and family within a variety of settings (including community, home, school, residential, etc.). The Mental Health Therapist recognizes the need for, and provides, team mentoring and clinical guidance.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Demonstrate ability to diagnose and treat children/youth and families
Provide individual and family therapy, with the potential for group therapy, if necessary, within a variety of settings (including community, home, school, residential, etc).
Depending on level of experience, provide clinical consultation and training to staff.
Act as the primary contact for the service plan with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
Integrate information from a variety of sources to complete assessments, identify service needs, and complete treatment plan.
Utilize a variety of treatment interventions including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Therapy.
