Clinical Therapist | Columbia Location
Therapist Job In Columbia, MO
The Counseling Hub is hiring a licensed, full-time Clinical Therapist with a $1500 hiring bonus (paid out over the first year of employment in quarterly increments).
Let's just get straight to it. What are you really looking for in a therapist role? All these positions read the same, so let us try to concisely share what it's like at “the hub” (for a Clinical Therapist), and then you can decide if you want to work with us.
What You'll Love About Working at “The Hub”
Freedom & Flexibility: Control your schedule, manage life events, and take time off when you need it.
Bonuses: Quarterly bonuses because we believe in rewarding quality work.
Specialization/Niche Support: Want to build a niche or refine your skills? We've got you covered with consultation, supervision, development tracks, and a wide variety of resources.
Professional Development Ops: You earn funds quarterly that you can spend on any clinical-related professional development opportunities that pique your interest!
No Admin Headaches: Forget scheduling or billing - we handle all the behind-the-scenes work so you can focus on your clients.
Streamlined Systems: Tools, workflows, and systems that work for you, with ongoing feedback loops to make them better.
Core Values in Action: At The Hub, our core values of authenticity, growth, and community are more than just words - they're how we work together every day. You'll find a team that truly supports you, holds themselves and each other accountable, and is committed to growing both professionally and personally.
The Counseling Hub values an inclusive environment and encourages people of color or queer-identified individuals to apply. All applicants are welcome.
Hours, Pay, & Benefits
Why Choose W2 (and not 1099)?
This position is a W2 role, which means your taxes are already taken care of each pay period, so you don't have to worry about setting aside money for taxes at the end of the year. While 1099 positions might pay more upfront, they require extra time and effort to manage taxes, cover the employee portion of Social Security and Medicare, and pay for things like insurance, office space, and other expenses. When you factor in all of that plus the benefits our W2 position provides, it ends up being about the same in the end. We make it simple by handling all that for you.
Compensation
Base Salary: The total salary range is $55,000-$75,000, with a base salary of $36,000 annually plus additional per-session commission after a session threshold.
Hiring Bonus: $1500, paid quarterly over your first year.
Quarterly Bonuses: Earn quarterly bonuses via our easy-to-use client-data system to send assessments and track outcomes. It's not just about checking boxes - it's about helping clients and keeping therapy on point.
Hours: Full-time therapists work 36 hours per week, with 32 hours dedicated to client availability. The remaining four hours are entirely flexible and can be used for clinical-related tasks like documentation, consultation, or supervision. A four-day workweek is absolutely possible with this structure!
Benefits
PTO, retirement, and professional development funds.
ACA-compliant healthcare options, dental, and vision insurance.
Short-term disability coverage.
Life insurance.
We're looking for someone who is interested in providing quality work, honing their craft, engaging in consultation and supervision, and continuous improvement. If you're wanting a place to show up, stay hidden, and leave, then this is not the right place for you. If you want a warm environment with high standards, a strong and shared sense of community, and built-in support, then this is going to be a great fit.
________________________________________________________________________________
*This position is primarily in-person at our Columbia location, but hybrid work may be available depending on client needs and your preferences. We'll work with you to create a schedule that fits both your life and our practice's needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Clinical Therapist will report directly to the Director of Clinical Operations. The primary purpose of the Clinical Therapist position is to maintain an active caseload of individual clients and excel in clinical growth. This entails but is not limited to the following:
What You'll Do
Keep an active caseload (we'll work with you to build your ideal schedule).
Maintain your client notes within 72 hours (our user-friendly system makes it simple).
Stay up on all client-related documentation (that's a given, though).
Participate in feedback-informed treatment (your growth and client outcomes are our priority).
Attend monthly team meetings (we keep it fun and productive).
Stay licensed and up-to-date with state-specific regulations.
Follow all legal and ethical standards (naturally).
Optional: Lead a workshop, create educational content, or join a committee - your call!
Licensure Requirement
Applicants must have an active license in the state of Missouri (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT). We require ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain licensure, and we fully support your growth in this area. Licenses eligible for this position:
LPC
LCSW
LMFT
Our Purpose, Niche, & Values
The Counseling Hub purpose is simple - it's to facilitate meaningful connection. This can happen in myriad ways, but that's the gist. Our focus is to provide high quality clinical services, and our core values are living, breathing, significant components to who we are and how we operate.
