Pros of working at The Walt Disney Company

You get to learn lots of stuff in a short period of time, with the best.

Cons of working at The Walt Disney Company

Work environment can be challenging at times, due to co workers, rude guests and ungrateful leaders (bosses) and coordinators (supervisors).

The Walt Disney Company Benefits

Free park entry, discounts on merchandise, and the ability to shop at an exclusive employee store (Cast Connections).

What do you like best about The Walt Disney Company's CEO and the leadership team?

The amount of opportunities the company offers.

How would you improve The Walt Disney Company's culture?

Hiring employees who are efficient but kind.

How did you prepare for the The Walt Disney Company interview?

I talked about my previous job experiences and skills.

It's not the best, but it's better than most full time/ part time jobs related to retail.

The representation is diverse, you get to see a ton of cultures, people, and languages.

Pros of working at The Walt Disney Company

Comp tickets.

Cons of working at The Walt Disney Company

For me, the cut-throat environment & every man for himself mentality was difficult to navigate. For women, harrasment is commonplace. Every woman i know from work has a story to tell along those lines. In my dept. the managers sit in their air conditioned offices unbothered by us on the front lines in 100 ° heat, when we are short or getting slammed by crowds. They don't lift a finger to help. Ever. They don't even speak to us in passing. If you love this company & grew up w/the parks & movies & want to maintain that, do not work here!

The Walt Disney Company Benefits

Comp tickets/main gate.

What do you like best about The Walt Disney Company's CEO and the leadership team?

There isn't much to like about corporate within the company. They're over paid & out of touch with us as employees (CM) and the guests.

How would you improve The Walt Disney Company's culture?

Remove the CEO. Remove D'Amaro and rebuild from the ground up.

How did you prepare for the The Walt Disney Company interview?

As a Disney fan from childhood, i spent my whole life waiting for that moment! I'd been preparing since I was 5!

What brings you the most joy at The Walt Disney Company?

Making a guest's day. Seeing a happy family enjoying their vacation. Doing my job well and with a smile despite crowds, heat and physical strain.

What's the diversity at The Walt Disney Company like?

This company and it's inclusion.....the thing is, it's a great thing to make sure everyone belongs. The problem with this place is it's all spin!!! Women get no respect in lower roles a d frequently deal with harassment. *That's not inclusive *.

How does your compensation at The Walt Disney Company compare to the industry average?

We are vastly underpaid by national standards. By Florida standards, TWDC pays above minimum wage.

Pros of working at The Walt Disney Company

You are exposed to Network if you know how, when and where. Anniversary celebrations are fun. Perks and discounts at the Parks, Merchandise and Events. Legacy award takes you places.

Cons of working at The Walt Disney Company

Expect to work long hours so you don't really have the time to enjoy the perks for fun, management biases, inclusion is still a working progress and there is a lot of room for improvement. Lots of work expectations for the low pay rate.

The Walt Disney Company Benefits

Great 401k plan, and insurance. Free and unlimited park admission for self, and some other park admission opportunities for the family (limited). 10 Years or More anniversary party is amazing!

What do you like best about The Walt Disney Company's CEO and the leadership team?

Lately CEO is all about money and the leadership teams are doing the best they can with what they have.

How would you improve The Walt Disney Company's culture?

They have recently added Inclusion to their Keys, but they are far from delivering it. Inclusion is not just for demographics, they need to expand their knowledge in ADA including the non-visual disabilities such as Neurodivergence.

How did you prepare for the The Walt Disney Company interview?

Be authentic and positive during your interview aside from getting to know the department you will be working with ahead of time and at least the basic knowledge of the company.

How does your compensation at The Walt Disney Company compare to the industry average?

There is room for improvement with the compensation. I am a true believer the Disney company rules wages in Central Florida. If they bring their compensations up, the rest of the companies will follow. (at least within the Travel & Leisure companies).

What's the diversity at The Walt Disney Company like?

The representation of diverse demographics is improving but it still a working progress.

What brings you the most joy at The Walt Disney Company?

The Walt Disney World company is a fast-paced company to be working with. You only get joy when you can enjoy the perks.

Pros of working at The Walt Disney Company

I enjoy the challenge of solving complex problems as well as the sense of accomplishment that comes with finding a solution.

Cons of working at The Walt Disney Company

Being on a small team has its downsides, though. One of them is that there aren't a lot of paths upward in the company.

Pros of working at The Walt Disney Company

Every cast member I worked with wanted to be the worlds best and that reflected in the awesome team I worked with. Half of the management team were engaging and cared about making it low stress with enough cast member to execute a massive job completed excellently

Cons of working at The Walt Disney Company

Some uniforms were not comfy and it was hot and humid something better could be made for those outside in the heat working hard. The pay and the benifits. To low the hourly pay and it’s a union controlling your pay. Not every cast member or leader works the same and some do deserve so much more than others. The union helps the company not the employees, some benifits were nice but not when I worked there. No overtime was allowed to much

The Walt Disney Company Benefits

We did get passes to share and the back room to buy food and Disney merchandise and auctions on Disney bigger items was a giant plus on working with Disney. You could take your family to the grocery part and part of the discounted store when I worked there in 2013. I would hope to go back one day to work my senior years part time.
