Job Summary
In our pursuit to provide all members with services that will allow them to reach their potential, we are currently searching for an SAT/Regents Prep Tutor to provide assistance to our high school-aged members, ages 14-21. Education is a core focus of the organization and offering our males the opportunity to access a college education is one of our priorities. The SAT/Regents Prep Tutor will prepare class materials, teach SAT and Regent courses, score pre- and post-tests, and maintain a positive learning environment. The classes are expected to have several members at one time, but can include individual tutoring as well.
Job Requirements

Responsibilities
•Adapt provided SAT prep and Regent curriculum to meet the needs of the members in the courses •Prepare, organize, and update all course materials •Pace course information delivery to meet the needs of all students •Create an interactive classroom environment and establish positive relationships with students •Ensure that members are prepared for the level of difficulty of the SAT/Regent exams •Possess knowledge of all information pertaining to the SAT/Regent tests (i.e. format, dates offered, timeline, etc.) •Model exceptional verbal and written communication skills •Perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
2+ years of experience in teaching test preparation, and SAT/Regent preparation in particular
Relevant subject matter expertise and experience working with diverse population of males
Documentation of high achievement on both sections of the SAT/Regent and/or similar standardized tests
Strong communication and presentation skills; Active and effective classroom management skills
Ability to drive students at all levels to perform their best; Strong ability to effectively plan and deliver program content.

Position Summary:
