Job Purpose
The Test Engineer is responsible for developing and executing tests and equipment to validate that the company's products satisfy the requirements.
Responsibilities (80s of the Position)
* Assist in the development of detailed DVP&R plans, including statistical confidence intervals
* Lead the scheduling and execution of test plans including acquiring quotes and availability at outside test houses
* Write detailed test procedures
* Develop NI LabView equipment drivers
* Develop NI Test Stand scripts
* Design and document test racks including equipment selection and harness drawings.
* Execute test procedures: Hands-on in the lab
* Post process data and publish test reports in a timely manner, to support the product development cycle
* Update DVPR with test execution dates and links to reports
* Ensure all product issues are identified, logged, tracked, and resolved during each testing phase
* Good communication with the rest of the organization when issues/failures arise
Required Experience
* Experience with automotive standards (ISO 16750, CISPR 25, etc..)
* Experience working with National Instruments LabView and Test Stand
* Technical understanding and familiarity with automotive industry standards that covers environmental, mechanical, electrical aspects of validation
* Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet communications
* Familiarity with NI cDAQ/PXI, VISA, XNET hardware and protocols
* Develop NI Labview drivers for hardware functional tests
* Experience working with electronic/electric systems
* Experienced in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
* 7+ years developing automated test equipment in the NI ecosystem
* 3+ years developing scripts with NI Test Stand
* NI CLD certification preferred.Personal characteristics.

The Pratt & Whitney Oklahoma City Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC) Test Engineer (TE) will provide oversight and engineering support for F117 and F135 engine test runs to facilitate disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of gas-turbine engines at the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility in support of the production delivery schedule.
**What You Will Do:**
+ **Provide Engineering Support for Shop Visits** : Respond to technical questions from the shop floor and substantiate technical documents to ensure that all test cell related maintenance, repair, and testing procedures are accurately followed.
+ **Communicate with Functional Groups, Vendors, and Customers** : Engage in continuous communication with various functional groups, including production, quality assurance, and logistics, as well as external vendors and customers.
+ **Interpret Customer Requirements:** Analyze customer requirements and Pratt & Whitney specific tasks to provide clear engineering direction.
+ **Perform Test Cell Performance Analysis and Data Collection** : Conduct thorough performance analyses and data collection for engine test cell visits.
+ **Determine Appropriate Test Requirements** : Establish and document the necessary test requirements based on the work scope performed.

**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university w/minimum 5+ years of experience OR 3+ years of experience with an advanced degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university.
+ 3+ years of experience with gas-turbine engines, including components.
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
+ Ability to work 1st shift (0700-1600) or 2nd shift (1500-2300), as well as extra time as necessary to ensure completion of assigned tasks; may be called in off-hours to answer job-related questions.
