The Teller I is responsible for providing quality customer service per Bank standards in accurately and efficiently completing various financial transactions in adherence to all Bank policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Accurately enter customers' transactions into computer to record transactions and issues computer-generated receipts
Cash checks and pay out monies after verifying signatures/endorsements are correct, written and numerical amounts agree, and accounts have sufficient funds
Balance/count currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers by hand or using currency-counting machine, and calculate daily transactions using computers, calculators, or adding machines
Receive and count daily inventories of cash and drafts. Monitor bank vaults and ATM's to ensure cash balances are correct. Order a supply of cash to meet daily needs
Carry out special services for customers as requested in adherence to Bank policy
Process transactions such as term deposits, retirement savings plan contributions, automated teller transactions, night deposits, and mail deposits
Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance
Arrange monies received in cash boxes and coin dispensers according to denomination.
Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customers' accounts
Explain, promote, or sell Bank products or services using computerized information about customers to tailor recommendations
Count, verify, and post armored car deposits
Compose, type, and mail customer statements and other correspondence related to issues such as discrepancies and outstanding unpaid items
Perform clerical tasks such as typing, filing and answering multi-line phone system
Performing all other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalency preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service/cash handling

SUMMARY
The Teller I will be responsible for daily teller transactions in both the lobby and drive-up locations of the branch. This position is also responsible for the delivery of outstanding customer service and for developing and maintaining client relationships by recognizing referral opportunities for additional Retail products and other lines of business. This is an entry level position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides customer account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, recording night and mail deposits, and selling cashier's checks, traveler's checks and savings bonds.
* Answers customer's questions in person and/or on the telephone.
* Records customer account transactions by logging cashier checks, traveler's checks, and other special services; preparing currency transaction reports.
* Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions; ascertaining customer needs; directing customers to a branch representative.
* Completes special customer requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; opening and closing Christmas and vacation clubs; exchanging foreign currencies; providing special statements, copies, and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures.
* Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; reconciling loan coupons and other transactions; turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to Teller Group Leader; maintaining supply of cash and currency.
* Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions; maintaining customer traffic surveys; auditing other teller currency; assisting in certification of proof.
* Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential, cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
* Improves teller job knowledge by attending training sessions.
* Contributes to customer service and bank success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.

General Purpose: Assist members with transactions and perform other teller duties.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Welcome members to the Branch and guide them to the ITMs when appropriate. Provide education for using the ITMs.
Assist members personally or by telephone; determine nature of the member's business and whether to transact the member's request or refer the member to the proper staff person.
Perform teller functions daily as needed. Teller functions include standing for prolonged periods of time and lifting a cash drawer and coin bags. Tellers are also required to work flexible hours, or a varied work schedule consistent with the class parameters.
Responsible for cash drawer, account for assigned cash, and accurately balance to the computer balance sheet. Sign on and off computer, according to procedures.
Educate and inform members of all BHFCU products and services, and cross-sell when applicable, using the ENGAGE model. Make referrals when appropriate.
Assist members with access to their safe deposit boxes.
Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology environments that may affect the Teller function.
When applicable, request members to bring accounts positive and to maintain minimum balance requirements. Request members make payments on delinquent loans or over-the-limit-credit card balances.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Research account information or discrepancies for members and staff, as directed by the Branch Manager.
Maintain account accuracy by working various reports, workflows, and projects as requested.

Primary Duties

Responsible for the accurate processing of all customer transactions requested through the lobby, drive-up, or telephone. Accountable to accurately perform assigned work tasks, to support the completion of customer transactions. Including: night deposit and mail processing, ATM servicing and balancing, individual teller drawer balancing.
Responsible to provide customer service, perform account maintenance, and problem solve; according to customer need. This includes but is not limited to; stop payment, funds transfer, balance inquiry, address or other information changes, account balancing, debit card and web banking support.
Open new personal and business accounts including; checking, savings, deposit, and IRA/HSA accounts; identify and recommend additional convenience services including web banking and debit cards. Close personal and business accounts as requested.
Actively work to identify customer needs for additional Bank and Financial Service products; sell and refer other Bank, Trust, Brokerage, and Insurance products and services to new and existing customers.
Actively seek out opportunities, outside the Bank, to grow new customer relationships through referrals and identification of prospects.
Identify early signs of customer dissatisfaction and work to resolve issues to aid in customer retention. Refer to other staff or supervisors as needed.
Secondary Duties

SUMMARY
The Teller I will be responsible for daily teller transactions in both the lobby and drive-up locations of the branch. This position is also responsible for the delivery of outstanding customer service and for developing and maintaining client relationships by recognizing referral opportunities for additional Retail products and other lines of business. This is an entry level position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides customer account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, recording night and mail deposits, and selling cashier's checks, traveler's checks and savings bonds.
Answers customer's questions in person and/or on the telephone.
Records customer account transactions by logging cashier checks, traveler's checks, and other special services; preparing currency transaction reports.
Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions; ascertaining customer needs; directing customers to a branch representative.
Completes special customer requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; opening and closing Christmas and vacation clubs; exchanging foreign currencies; providing special statements, copies, and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures.
Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; reconciling loan coupons and other transactions; turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to Teller Group Leader; maintaining supply of cash and currency.
Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions; maintaining customer traffic surveys; auditing other teller currency; assisting in certification of proof.
Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential, cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
Improves teller job knowledge by attending training sessions.
Contributes to customer service and bank success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.

The Teller I is responsible for providing quality customer service per Bank standards in accurately and efficiently completing various financial transactions in adherence to all Bank policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Portray a positive company image and engage in professional and friendly communication with customers

Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance
Arrange monies received in cash boxes and coin dispensers according to denomination.
Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customers' accounts
Explain, promote, or sell Bank products or services using computerized information about customers to tailor recommendations
Count, verify, and post armored car deposits
Compose, type, and mail customer statements and other correspondence related to issues such as discrepancies and outstanding unpaid items
Perform clerical tasks such as typing, filing and answering multi-line phone system
Performing all other duties as assigned
