Essential Job Functions
Assist and greet all customers entering the lobby area or the bank

Handle customer complaints and grievances in a professional manner and escalate to supervisor or management directly
Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential
Receive mortgage, consumer loan and other loan payments and issues a receipt.
Cash check and process withdrawals and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
Perform a variety of customer service transactions, such as account holds and check confirmation.
Sell travelers checks, cashiers checks and money orders, as appropriate.
Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and reports any discrepancies to supervisor.
Direct customers to the right department contact if needed (such as operations, lending, or personal bankers)

Refill the coffee, cookies, and donuts in the lobby when necessary
Keep the lobby clean and presentable at all times

Work Environment
Work is performed primarily at the teller line with regular contact with employees and customers, in person and on the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The Relationship Banker will be responsible for all customer service duties, sales, and relationship management while reaching or exceeding established goals. They will master First United Bank's delivery process and product knowledge to develop customer relationships by performing the following essential duties.

* Maintains appropriate drawer limits, perform cash versifications and vault duties.
* Verifies all transactions, places holds as appropriate and proves cash drawer upon completion of assigned shift to ensure compliance with First United Bank standards policies. Seeks assistance as needed to resolve proof discrepancies.
* Proactively resolve customer complaints, problems, or other issues.
* Reviews and resolves account issues listed in insufficient and exception reports on daily basis: assists customers with account charge-off repayment plans.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES
1) Provide extraordinary member service by being knowledgeable, engaging with Members, making Members feel valued and consistently applying defined service standards. Accurately process transactions for Members, including but not limited to, cashing checks, receiving deposits and payments, processing withdrawals, conducting information inquiries.
2) Listen actively to fully understand and answer Members' questions/concerns, and offer guidance to appropriate products and services. Proactively identify and make appropriate, qualified referrals for members that will save them time, money and/or provide peace of mind. Look for ways to enhance members' relationships by building trust and confidence.
3) Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. (i.e. security, member identification, fraud prevention, etc.).
4) Prepares and verifies official checks and money orders.
5) Balance assigned cash drawer during and at the end of each work day.
6) Perform miscellaneous duties such as end of day activities, filing, answering phones, maintaining supplies, etc..

2) Operate within the acceptable ranges of the Balancing and Quality of Work Parameters, while maintaining a high level of member service.
3) Products and services are proactively recommended when appropriate and Members receive accurate information.
4) All activities are efficiently conducted, generally error free, and are completed following the appropriate policies, procedures, operational controls, and compliance controls. (i.e. security, member identification and fraud prevention).
5) Losses, errors, and risks are controlled and mitigated by adhering to all applicable policies and procedures. Manager approval required for any exceptions.
6) Work according to schedules and department attendance guidelines. Need may arise whereby this position may provide coverage at another branches.
QUALIFICATIONS
A. Specialized or Technical Knowledge and Skills:
1) Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
2) Must be able to learn and apply a variety of software applications.
3) Must have accurate keyboarding skills.
4) Prior experience in a retail service environment to include cash handling and member service preferred.

Bilingual (fluent verbal and written Spanish) skills
Proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)
Physical Requirements:
This position requires long periods of standing or sitting as well as typing and repetitive motion. Candidates must possess the ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes sometimes weighing as much as 25 pounds.
MidFirst Banking Center Hours of Operations:
Monday - Friday from 7:15 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. and Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. (Part time employees are scheduled for 20 hours per week within these time frames)
Candidates must be available to work weekend hours.
