RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greets customers in a courteous and professional manner and provides prompt, efficient and accurate service.
Processes and records transactions using integrated teller applications software after verifying amounts, endorsement/signature, negotiability, and account balances.
Receives checks, cash, and other negotiable instruments (via mail, merchants, or other customers) for deposit to or payment on demand deposit, credit card and loan accounts.
Cashes checks and processes account withdrawals after determining applicable processing procedures and limits in accordance with whether the customer holds an ABOC account, check presented is drawn on an outside bank, and/or additional approvals are required.
Issues official cashier's checks, money orders, etc.
Redeems savings bonds.
Processes requests for coin and currency.
Assists with balancing and maintenance of ATMs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma
1-2 years' experience analysis experience at a financial institution (required)
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Strong Microsoft 365 experience

Position Overview

What you'll do:
The Teller Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of teller staff and all branch functions associated with processing customer transactions and providing routine banking services. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills in order to motivate staff and effectively organize and delegate duties among the teller staff. Responsibilities include:
Oversee the operating procedures and practices within the teller department including: Make approvals and exceptions to policy as needed, recognize potential fraud and report to management as necessary, take a proactive approach to solving operational issues, and ensure compliance of all department, bank and regulatory policies and procedures
Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities, direct customers to appropriate bank personnel and coach staff to recognize these opportunities as well
Perform routine monthly audits and daily/monthly sales tracking
Participates in hiring, onboarding, training and ongoing development of teller staff
Complete performance reviews for teller staff
Assign work schedules to employees to ensure efficient function of department
May be required to participate in community events
Qualifications:
Previous teller experience required
3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred, preferably within a financial institution
Travel between branches may be necessary
Must be available to work all shifts including Saturdays

Compensation:

Position Summary:
As a Senior Teller with Marquette Bank, you will assist the Teller Supervisor or Branch Operations Manager with the day-to-day duties of the Retail Operations Department across multiple branch locations. You will perform backroom teller functions, balance the vault and branch, and open and close the branch. You will be one of our customers' most valuable resources by accurately processing customer transactions, developing relationships and delivering a high level of customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Possess excellent communication skills to interact with employees and customers.
A high level of interpersonal skills to represent the bank in a professional manner in all customer interactions
Capability to relate to and empathize with people and maintain a friendly, cheerful demeanor
Must be proficient in all aspects of teller duties.
Must have a thorough knowledge of the teller terminal transactions and corrections.
Possess detailed knowledge of all backroom teller balancing, remittance procedures and vault teller procedures.
May assist other tellers in balancing daily transactions.
May assist in opening and closing of branch.
Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations; adhering to the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must have 1-2 years teller experience
Detail oriented with a thorough understanding of the Teller Department
