ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Sells and delivers multiple deposit and consumer loan products and services to new and existing customers by assessing the needs of the customer and determining which services can best satisfy those needs. Contact current bank customers to ask for new business. Maintain a sales cultural at all times to meet the goals and performance standards established for the branch and bank operations.
Ensures all accounts are opened and loan documents are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures that proper records are maintained accurately and information is entered on the appropriate systems and records are routed to the appropriate departments.
Process deposits to checking and savings accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for endorsement and negotiability and enters the transaction into the teller terminal. Cashes checks and pays money from checking and savings accounts. Verifies signatures and customer account balances. Processes transactions for various bank products and services including loan payments, safe deposit boxes, cashier's checks, savings bonds, cash advances etc.
Receives and processes loan payments. Completes consumer loan applications and submits for approval.
Has a thorough working knowledge of all bank and branch goals, policies and procedures. Has expertise of all deposit products and services. Is aware of all current marketing and advertising promotions.

SUMMARY
The Teller I will be responsible for daily teller transactions in both the lobby and drive-up locations of the branch. The Head Teller makes or obtains decisions regarding non-routine transactions to ensure all customers' needs are being met by CSR's. The Head Teller observes and coaches CSR staff to ensure they are adhering to bank policies, government regulations and bank customer service standards.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Schedules and monitors daily activities of CSRs.
Works the teller window (change orders, drive-up, night deposit, mail deposit, money orders, cashiers checks, safe deposit boxes, cash checks/money transactions, ATM cards, counting money, balance window).
Trains, directs and evaluates employee performance within the department, identifies performance problems and takes action to correct.
Open new accounts and performs account maintenance.
Researches (missing items).
Processes ACH and wire transfers.
Answering phones.
Vault management.
First step in resolving customer questions and complaints.
Maintains strictest confidentiality.
Promotes the banks services and makes referrals to other bank departments.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
