The Universal Banker I is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our customers in accordance with KNB policies and procedures. The UB I will process customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments with accuracy. The UB I will manage a cash drawer/recycler, respond to customer inquiries, and make recommendations on bank products and services.
Essential Functions
Greets walk-in customers, determines customer needs and directs them to appropriate staff
Processes daily customer transactions as needed including cashing checks, receiving deposits, issuing withdrawals, and accepting loan payments
Answers and routes telephone calls, takes messages, provides information and directs calls to appropriate staff members as necessary
Assists in ATM balancing and processes mail and night drop transactions
CTR Processing
Performs other tasks as directed by the Branch Manager

SMW Financial Credit Union has an immediate need for a Universal Banker/Teller at our Lino Lakes branch. New hires will receive a $1000.00 sign-on bonus ($500 paid after 90-days of employment, and $500 paid after 180 days employment)
The Universal Banker/Teller position works on our teller line helping our members execute financial transactions in a timely and friendly manner. In addition; once trained, they will open accounts and assist the loan department as needed to support SMWFCU's strategic goals. This position will work in our Lino Lakes branch and must be able to work at our Maplewood location as business needs dictate, as well as Saturday rotations.
Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1 year of banking or credit union experience
* 1 year of continuous employment at the same place
* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to better support member's financial needs and growth
* Ability to meet sales and service expectations
* Proven sales experience and an understanding of account opening
* Ability to problem solve and multi-task in a busy environment while maintaining a coureous demeanor.
*Willingness and flexibility to work out of our Maplewood branch as company needs dictate
*Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
*Lending and FSP core system experience is a plus but is not required.
