Based on need, the Bank does reserve the right to adapt at any point in time. * Manages the Teller staff in order to provide efficient and accurate paying and receiving services and to control bank-wide vault cash as follows: * Ensures that Tellers are providing complete paying and receiving services to customers. * Ensures that all paying and receiving, balancing, and operational activities are done efficiently and according to policy; this includes the activities of Teller staff, ATM services, and other paying and receiving activities. * Ensures that the Teller staff works as part of the customer service team and that Tellers take advantage of new business referral opportunities through the Branch Referral Program. * Ensures the coordination of work, i.e., makes certain that the work of the Teller staff is coordinated with other positions in the office, with centralized operations personnel, and other departments and offices. * Ensures the preparation of other related reports as assigned by the Community Office Manager. * Makes certain that all Tellers have an adequate supply of cash to conduct business; maintains level of cash according to approved cash management policies. * Balances and maintains currency and coin. * Orders all currency and coin for the office; ships extra money. * Maintains cash management records. * Balances vault cash each day for the office. * Maintains and controls vault cash records for the entire bank as follows: 1) Monitors levels of cash according to approved office cash management policies; reports differences to appropriate officer. 2) Maintains cash management records for bank-wide cash and currency. i. Observe and listen to the quality of conversation by tellers. Look for missed opportunities and give real time feedback. * Directly supervises assigned personnel as follows: * Assists in the selection of new personnel as appropriate. * Makes provisions for the proper orientation and training of new personnel; trains new personnel as required. * Reviews employee performance throughout the probationary period and on a regularly scheduled basis thereafter. * Organizes, schedules, and distributes work among assigned personnel. * Keeps personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures affecting personnel and/or their jobs; creates an atmosphere in which upward communication from employees is encouraged. * Administers personnel policies and procedures as established by bank policy. * Perform various duties, e.g., report preparation, information analysis, procedures coordination, etc., relating to the bank-wide paying and receiving function. * Provide safe deposit box services to customers. * Provide operational/technical support in non-paying and receiving activities, e.g., new accounts, loans, etc., as needed in the absence of Customer Service Representative. * Provide overall office supervision in the absence of the Community Office Manager, when needed * Participates with the Community Office Manager in establishing specific goals for the office; implements strategies to achieve these goals. * Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites work flow. * Communicates with the Community Office Manager, other office supervisors, and appropriate staff personnel in order to integrate activities. * Provides timely reporting to the Community Office Manager and other appropriate groups or individuals. * Performs duties of a Teller as needed.
