Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

**The Role**

Uses software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network status and performance. May support Outside plant activities as required for cable placement, splicing, and testing.
**What We Look For in a Candidate**
Experience in network installation maintenance, and operations of classified government high speed optical transport system and system components
Ability to redline as-built drawings and update Engineering Design Packages (EDPs)
Associate degree in Engineering, Electronics, Software, or Networks; or a related technical or vocational education or equivalent experience. Five or more years applicable work experience.
Experience with SONET and DWDM Platforms required.
Experience with Infinera, Cisco, and Ciena equipment beneficial

Summary:
The primary responsibility for the Equipment Technician position is collecting, analyzing, and reporting the health of rotating equipment based on multiple technologies including vibration, thermography, oil analysis, pump and motor performance, compressor and engine performance and key operating parameters. This position works closely with operations, engineers, specialists, and maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repairs. This position will provide support for multiple sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:
* Develop and maintain vibration analysis program. Establish equipment routes and frequency. Collect and enter equipment data necessary for proper vibration analysis.
* Proficient with rotating and/or reciprocating equipment analysis techniques and perform as required
* Proficient with motor and/or engine analysis techniques and perform as required
* Develop and maintain lube oil analysis program establishing routes and frequency
* Periodic (monthly, quarterly, etc.) data acquisition from equipment, including vibration data with portable systems, critical machinery performance metrics (flow rates, equipment rotating speed, temperatures, and process flow characteristics) and lube oil samples and analysis
* Perform analysis of data to resolve or proactively anticipate equipment failures
* Lead and/or assist in root cause failure analysis utilizing the TapRoot process
* Lead and/or assist with equipment repairs and routine maintenance
* Effectively and safely use hand tools, power tools, and portable and mobile work equipment in hazardous, classified, and non-hazardous environments
* Interpret and utilize drawings, schematics, loading/pump curves, OEM manuals, and other technical resources in the performance of assigned work
* Implements continuous monitoring systems, such as alarm, report, and acceptance regions
* Coordinate scheduling of repairs by taking ownership of notifications and corresponding follow-up
* Monitor equipment repairs in the field and at vendor shops
* Report equipment deficiencies in SAP system making recommendations for corrective action
* Collaborate with responsible Maintenance/Reliability Specialist, engineers, planners, Operations Managers and supervisors to ensure proper priorities are placed on deficiencies and continuous learning/improvement process is fostered
* Support the lubrication program by monitoring its effectiveness or, when required, take samples, interpret analysis and take corrective actions
* Provide on-call support for areas of responsibility on a rotating basis
* Comply with partnership safety policies and procedures
* Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO)
Required Education:
* High school diploma or GED
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
* Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in an oil and gas operations role or equivalent work experience
* Level B requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in an oil and gas operations role or equivalent work experience

Must be comfortable with daily local travel

What You'll Do:Follow E2 Optics' core value of safety and adhere to all site policies.Lead and train a team of 3-5 technicians and installers on small projects, ensuring high-quality work.Install and maintain structured cabling systems, including fiber and copper.Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and ensure accurate terminations and labeling.Oversee jobsite organization, maintain professional appearance, and ensure compliance with security requirements.
What We're Looking For:Education:High school diploma or GED required.OSHA 30 required.Fiber Optic Association CPCT and CFOT certifications preferred.Experience:2-5 years of experience in structured cabling or related fields.Strong understanding of fiber optic and copper cabling, testing, and troubleshooting.Skills:Ability to lead teams, manage tasks, and ensure project deadlines are met.Ability to read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and industry standards.Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.Self-motivated with excellent work ethic and communication skills.
