About the role
This opening is for a Field Service Engineer position in the Field Service Group. This role will be responsible for providing highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation as well as performing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repairs of complex equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Able to perform installation, calibration, repairing and maintenance of equipment at customer site, troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems, assemblies, and subassemblies from using block diagrams
Develop strong customer relationships at multiple levels in the customer organization.
Manage customer's expectations

Work with end users to schedule work tasks as required

Top off or replace fluids (coolant, windshield washer fluid, etc.).
Perform other express services like battery checks, wiper blade replacements, and air filter changes.
Document all completed services and identified issues on repair orders.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Explain service recommendations clearly and concisely, obtaining customer authorization before proceeding.
Provide estimated wait times and keep customers informed of service progress.
Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Technical Skills and Safety:
Possess a strong understanding of basic automotive maintenance procedures.
Work efficiently and accurately, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety protocols.
Use a variety of diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Additional Responsibilities:
May assist with preparing vehicles for service (removing floor mats, placing protective covers, etc.).
May stock and maintain service supplies.
Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment within the service department.
Qualifications:
Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in automotive repair or a related field (preferred).
Strong understanding of basic automotive systems and maintenance procedures.
Ability to follow manufacturer service specifications and safety guidelines.
Excellent mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
Manual dexterity and the ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, reaching).
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications a plus.
