ABOUT THE POSITION
The technician ensures proper installation and operation of designated Astec products including installation, commissioning startup, training, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Deliverables & Responsibilities
· Perform installation under the direction of more experienced employees.

· Generates written field service reports for daily activities; submit reports as required.
· Coordinate and communicate with Astec sales, engineering, and manufacturing groups for product or process issues, including warranty, design recommendations, and reporting of any/all damage to equipment during shipment or installation.
· Work closely with the Functional Leadership, Product Support Managers, and Office Support Staff to ensure accurate service reports, and associated billing.
· Be available for emergency dispatch; 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to support our customers and staff.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); some previous work-related experience is a plus; or a combination of education and experience equivalent as deemed sufficient by management.
· Minimum 0-2 years' experience in construction, manufacturing, or related fields
· Prefer 0-2 years of experience in the HMA, Concrete, or Combustion Industries
· Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits
· Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and electronics blueprints and designs.

The Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside. The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required when working in these conditions.
The Automotive Technician must be able to meet the following physical requirements:
Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
Communicate with customers and shop personnel
Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus

The Technical Services Lead will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Technical Service activities. Including overseeing all product initially brought into the Technical Services Room (TSR) and the handling of all paperwork pertaining to that merchandise. Lead and provide guidance to the Tech Operators as well as coordinate supply chain activities within the Technical Services group. Plans and coordinates schedules to effectively meet customer requirements. This position is also responsible for safety, organization, and cleanliness.
Your Tasks
Provide training, instruction, and guidance to Technical Operators
Review BOM and product list for department tasks and builds
Ensuring accuracy of all documents
Monitoring and managing stock levels; communicating with warehouse management team on reordering consumables
Maintaining safety and cleanliness standards for incoming merchandise
Logs information in SAP system
Pick orders for TSR
Leads and monitors the work of other Technical Operators
Shift: 2PM-10:30PM; overtime as required
Your Profile
At least 1 year of previous work experience, preferably in a warehouse handling high tech devices or manufacturing type of environment.
1 to 3 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control, or material management in a manufacturing environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent education
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand/walk for long periods of time
Requires ability to stand/reach/stoop/bend
Manufacturing Environment / Warehouse Setting
