JOB SUMMARY: This position independently performs complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment. The position may perform this work both in-house and on-site at the customer's location. This position may require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager. JOB SUMMARY: This position independently performs complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment. The position may perform this work both in-house and on-site at the customer's location. This position may require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform complex agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment diagnostics and determine what repairs are needed, if any. Perform complex agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment repairs as requested by the Service Manager or Foreman. Perform routine maintenance checks servicing fuel, brake, and transmission systems to ensure peak performance, safety, and longevity of the equipment. Participates in Formal Service education and training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge. May review and explain any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents this interaction on the work order. Promote and sell Goldman's Partner Promise and other service programs directly to customers. Assist Service Manager in maintaining the proper seasonal parts inventory in conjunction with the Parts Department. Maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products. Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment. Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments. This position requires a proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
