Quad is seeking Distribution Technicians (Forklift Operators) 2nd and 3rd shift to join our Midwest Commingle Center in Waukesha, WI! The wage range is $17.50 - $19.00+ depending on experience. Distribution Technicians are responsible for the following: Freight-loading and unloading of finished products and materials from semi-trailers and auto-wrappers using a forklift. Inventory control- maintaining accurate inventories with the use of a PC and RF bar code scanning system. Warehousing- supplying machines with materials needed Required Qualifications: Good verbal and reading comprehension, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and work independently with minimal supervision Candidates must have average to above-average computer skills and/or prior forklift experience in a manufacturing setting Ability to work 3rd shift (12 am-8am) or 2nd shift (4pm-12am) Ability to work a split shift; this is not a Mon.- Fri. schedule, you will have 5 scheduled work days and 2 days off per week - options will be discussed during the in-person interview

Company Description: This is a small company (14 employees) based in Wisconsin with a great niche in the commercial labeling equipment industry. They buy and install $12,000 to $15,000 Industrial Labeling and Printing Machines for their manufacturing customers, and, in addition, they do $50,000 to $150,000 custom installations of multiple machines and configure the customer's current equipment to fit into that process. They are a family-owned business founded in 1963. Position: Field Service Technician Tasks required at Customer Sites: Installing and/or repairing the equipment and training customers on Automatic Labeling Machinery use. Shop Location; Hartland, WI (26 miles West of downtown Milwaukee.) PLEASE NOTE: Relocation is not budgeted for this position. The search is focused on finding local candidates. However, if you are willing to pay your own expenses to move to the area then you can be considered. Working Hours: Daytime Hours (8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.) However, person needs to be flexible when emergencies come up from Clients. Breakdown of Work in the Shop versus work in the Field- About 50% of the time the person will be working in the shop in Hartland and 50% of the time they will be at Customer Sites. Job Duties As a Service Center Automotive Technician, you'll perform a wide range of services and duties in our Automotive Service Center. This can include, but is not limited to: Excellent customer service Repair and install tires Balance wheels Install batteries, head lamps and other basic automotive parts Perform oil changes Brake system repair Repair starting and charging systems Steering and Suspension Shock/strut installation Alignments Installation of trailer hitches and wiring Other duties assigned with progressive on the job training Qualifications Must possess a valid driver's license Must have great communication skills Ability to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks Ability to read and speak English Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers Must be 18 years of age or older Prior auto repair experience is preferred Prior retail experience preferred *Michigan Stores Only* ASE A4 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level II and ASE A3, A4, A5 and A6 Certifications required for Tech Level III OR equivalent Michigan certifications.
