The YETI Warranty + Repair Team continues the tradition of innovation, quality, and durability that our customers depend on. The Warranty + Repair Technician II will serve as a subject matter expert on all things warranty and repair, ensuring the timely and expert repair of YETI products, while delivering best-in-class customer support. This role works closely with the W+R Supervisor and Technician I team to maintain the high standards that our customers expect from YETI gear.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Respond to all Warranty + Repair-related cases in a timely and professional manner.
Answer all Warranty + Repair phone calls with a focus on providing friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
Exhibit mastery of YETI's quality standards as well as Warranty + Repair policies and procedures.
Develop a strong working knowledge of all Warranty + Repair related processes in NetSuite.
Use department tools and equipment to complete repairs, including sewing, heat press, and more.
Continuously update and improve training checklists as products and technology evolve.
Develop comprehensive knowledge of all YETI products to ensure effective repairs.
Improve efficiency in the repair process for high volumes of fire pack repairs.
Make independent decisions on warranty versus non-warranty items, ensuring proper handling.
Make the final call to ensure each repair is complete, conducting a self-inspection process.
Provide documented feedback to the Warranty + Repair Supervisor and Product Quality Manager on quality and design issues.
Take a proactive approach to identify and implement improvements for durability and design.
Build, communicate, and negotiate fire repair invoices with fire crews. Clearly explain YETI's shop rate and repair procedures.
Advocate for customers, ensuring exceptional customer service.
Contribute to the development and evolution of Warranty + Repair processes as the department grows.
Help identify and secure necessary raw materials for repairs, working closely with the W+R Supervisor.
Environmental and Physical Requirements:
This is a full-time position based at YETI's headquarters in Bozeman, MT.
Work typically takes place indoors with potential mild discomfort from dust, temperature extremes, loud noises, and bright lights.
Frequent periods of standing or sitting, with some movement required.
Occasional lifting of objects up to 36 inches from floor level, weighing up to 50 lbs.
Occasional travel as necessary or required.
Work involves repetitive use of hands, fingers, and arms while handling materials and products.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience in a Warranty Repair Technician I role or equivalent experience.
Strong familiarity with YETI products, their use, and capabilities.
Extensive knowledge of production sewing, post-sew, and inspection skills.
Customer service experience preferred.
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Computer literacy with the ability to learn various applications (MS365, NetSuite, Centric).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with customers and coworkers.
Ability to follow through and track ongoing problem resolution.
Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome challenges.

Your Mission:

What You Bring to the Table:

About the Position
Maintain the physical condition and general upkeep of the community following Company operating and safety standards.
Thoroughly complete work orders within the expected timeframe according to Company policy and standards.
Prepare make-ready apartment homes including painting, flooring, cleaning, rekeying, and general repairs, according to Company unit turn policies and standards. Adjusting heat and properly secure doors and windows in all vacant apartment homes.
Cleaning and trashing out vacated apartment homes, including physical evictions. Properly document all abandoned belongings and storage/disposal according to Company policy.
Maintain community grounds, pool and spa, common areas, trash compactor, pet stations, controlled access buildings, and amenities to keep areas clean, operational, and safe for all residents and guests.
Perform regular lighting checks and repairs.
Maintain safety records utilizing company software. Ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner including service request, pool safety logs and any other documentation as directed by supervisor.
Ensure proper testing and maintenance of community pumps, boilers, fire control systems, backup generators, smoke and carbon monoxide detector systems as directed by supervisor.
Assist in regular inspections of the community, including pre move-out inspections, move- out inspections, and preventative maintenance inspections.
Promptly and professionally respond to after-hours emergency calls as assigned.
Ensure all workshops and utility rooms are clean, orderly, and safe. Adhere to all Company safety and OSHA requirements.
Perform supplemental landscape maintenance including pressure washing, irrigation system repairs, and watering of lawn/landscape areas so that common areas are properly maintained.
Remove snow and ice when and where applicable during inclement weather as directed by supervisor.
Maintain appropriate quantities of supplies and promptly notify supervisor when supply quantities are low.
Responsible to secure and for the timely maintenance of all Company equipment entrusted to the employee's care, including golf carts and work vehicles.
Adhere to all requirements of the O & M manual including lock out/tag out and mold, moisture control and clean up procedures.
Perform maintenance projects and tasks with minimal supervision consistent with Company policy and direction from supervisor.
Inform appropriate supervisor(s) of any observed or potentially hazardous situations for residents, team members, and guests, including all injuries/incidents.

Experience

Summary: Performs all scheduled and non-scheduled daily tasks. Responsibility to maintain awareness of all equipment assigned to them during production operations and assure efficient operation of equipment within a commercial Laundry Plant. Will perform preventive maintenance and emergent repair as situations develop. Will identify and correct any problems including jams, bad or missing belts, and missing ironer tape on the equipment assigned to them. Seeks technical assistance from Engineering as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs preventative maintenance activities on equipment as scheduled.
Ensures timely and quality completion of all maintenance and repairs, including overhead rail system and conveyor systems.
Assists technical and mechanical personnel including outside vendors as needed.
Maintains the maintenance log by making entries of incomplete tasks and new problems.
Notifies Production Supervisors on the status of any equipment that will impact production or cause down time and when back online.
