CNC Field Service Technician - This role requires 100% travel.
Perform a wide variety of tasks associated with servicing, repairing, or operation of most CNC machine tools. Use precision test equipment to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical and electrical problems-advanced operation of CNC controls from different manufacturers. Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuitry to component level. Perform a variety of advanced specialized machine tool repair processes.
Responsibilities:
Dismantle and prepare machines for shipment
Level and alignment of machines.
Troubleshoot and repair of major machine tool problems.
Disassemble, repair, and rebuild machine tool sub-assemblies and assemblies.
Organize, tag, and mark components for future assembly.
Identify, repair, or replace damaged components.
First-time power-up and troubleshooting of machines.
Servo system tuning.
Report activities and expenses timely and accurately
Train other employees for advancement
Train customers on the operation of CNC control systems.
Advanced troubleshooting and repair of electronic circuitry.
Communicate with customers, vendors, OEM, and KRC personnel.
Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized.
Travel to customer's facilities often and on short notice
Work with minimal supervision.

Required Skills:
Associate's degree in electronic engineering or related field of study--experience may be substituted for education.
3 or more years of experience in machine tool field service.
Advanced machine tool knowledge and terminology.
Complete knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
Full understanding of multiple machine tool specifications and advanced knowledge of test equipment.
Mechanical hand tools and toolbox.
Set up and operate Renishaw Ballbar and Renishaw Laser Calibration equipment - highly desired.
The ability to do the final scrape and/or fitting of most machine tool components - highly desired.
Working knowledge of application processes and programming.
In-depth understanding of CNC controls and functions.

Medical Equipment Technician

Entry level sales, customer service background essential
One (1) year of Military, delivery driver with sales component or health care technician experience would be
considered related experience and preferred.
Senior level requires two (2) years of work-related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience.
Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Job purpose
The Machine Maintenance Department is tasked with ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency for over 7 die cast machines which operate with 350 tons to 4,500-tons of hydraulic pressure, along with several robots and trim presses.
Duties and responsibilities
As a Machine Maintenance Engineer / Technician, you will:
Assure that machines and equipment are kept in a safe operating condition.
Provide technical expertise and training in the die casting department to ensure company and departmental goals are continually achieved
Create Preventative Maintenance procedures and schedule.
Train maintenance techs to maintain machines.
Perform general preventive maintenance (PM) and make machine/equipment repairs as needed.
Maintains record of all PM and other work performed.
Troubleshoot equipment, by inspecting and analyzing electronic, hydraulic, and mechanic devices of the machines.
Make emergency repairs as safely and quickly as possible so as to maximize machine and equipment availability to production.
Assist operators and other key personnel (as specified) with training to better operate and soft maintain and clean the equipment, within the scope of their responsibility.
Monitor instruments and gauges to verify proper machines operating conditions
Efficiently install accessory devices to equipment such as ladles or crucibles, holding furnaces, hot oil units, thermal cameras, etc.
Repair and maintain metal processing equipment
Define a predictive maintenance plan to be transmitted to the entire operation of the die casting department, aimed to prevent sudden decline in OEE performances.
Using pluriannual experience, identify common equipment fails that could impact either production scraps or machines uptime and cycle time and create a specific predictive and preventative maintenance plan and records to be executed by the appointed die casting technicians.
Promote in the die casting organization the use of innovative solutions to perform more efficient repairs, to limit the downtime, and in general to improve the OEE performances.
Will have cross-functional knowledge/experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, PLC controls and relay systems. The function will be a team leader and player, with maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment with the ability to trouble-shoot and repair heavy machinery, with high content of electronic and hydraulic systems. Very strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic background is required.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years of high pressure die casting machines maintenance experience
Experience and extensive knowledge in maintenance and repair operations associated with electrical systems, electronics, fabrication, hydraulics, injection molding, mechanical drives, pneumatics, robotics, stamping, welding, assembly and conveyor, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and troubleshooting IDRA and COLOSIO brands
Ability to do set ups and program parameters
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, specifications, and technical instruction manuals.
General understanding and working knowledge of manufacturing and assembly equipment and tooling including design, automation, robotics, or manufacturing processes relating to automotive interiors
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment
Ability to maintain on call flexibility to control abnormal conditions.
Must be able to work a fixed or rotating shift schedule, including daily or weekend overtime
Strong organization, time management and planning skills.
Ability to maintain records and compile data to prepare reports, manuals and proposals
Ability to pass competences, train and teach maintenance team on high pressure die casting machines
Working conditions
The working conditions require an ability to adapt to hot and cold temperatures.
Physical requirements

The program will build your technical confidence through a comprehensive program of hands-on and academic orientated training, combined with real-time assessments in actual shop and work settings. This will provide experience, while you work.
You may have experience from high school automotive classes, military training, college or trade school diesel technician classes or you may just have the mechanical aptitude and great work ethic that is required. All candidates that have mechanical aptitude and a great work ethic and team mentality are welcome to apply! No previous industry experience is required.

Essential Functions
Level I:
* Performs routine repairs and preventive maintenance to a variety of building heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment including air handling units, chillers, heat pumps, exhaust fans, fan coil units, variable air volume boxes, motors, pumps, air distribution machinery, pneumatic and digital controls, hot and chilled water distribution and variable volume systems. Performs seasonal transitions of systems to and from heating and cooling.
* Performs basic repairs of HVACR systems and equipment including air handling units, chillers, heat pumps, exhaust fans, fan coils units, variable air volume boxes, motors, pumps, air distribution machinery, pneumatic and digital controls, hot and chilled water distribution and variable volume systems.
* Assists in major component replacement and systems repairs under the supervision of higher level technicians. Assists in executing HVACR system repair projects, such as the replacement of air handling units, chillers, or boilers as well as emergency repair efforts to repair such units.
* May be required to serve in an on-call status and remain work-ready when scheduled for an on-call period or rotation. Work-ready status requires an employee to return to the worksite within forty-five minutes while being physically and mentally unimpaired and fit for duty, able to safely perform all essential job functions with no risk to self, coworkers, students, public, or property.
Level II:
* Performs installation, replacement, or repairs to a variety of building heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, and packaged units.
* Assists in planning, scheduling, and executing major HVACR system repair projects, such as the replacement of air handling units, chillers, or boilers and to lead emergency repair efforts to repair such units.
* Inspects and troubleshoots HVACR systems and their components (e.g. air handling units, chillers, heat exchanges, heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation equipment, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating operating status and material condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending a proper course of action.
* Oversees and plans assigned work orders using Facilities Management AIM work order system to prioritize and schedule work to best meet the need of Auburn University and its customers. Identifies options, develops solutions, and takes action when responding to customer requests.
* May be required to serve in an on-call status and remain work-ready when scheduled for an on- call period or rotation. * High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience as an HVACR technician.
Level II
* Some college; vocational or Associate's degree in Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Systems, Refrigeration, Building Control Systems or related plus 5 years of experience as an HVACR technician.
Education Substitution for Level II:
Substitution allowed for Education: When a candidate has the required experience, but lacks the required education, they may normally apply additional relevant experience toward the education requirement, at a rate of two (2) years relevant experience per year of required education.

Minimum Skills and Abilities
Level I:
* Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration theories, principles, and systems operations.
* Knowledge of understanding of all major HVACR system components; what they do, how they work, and how to install or replace them.
* Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices for HVACR systems.
* Basic knowledge of electrical systems, single phase and three phase electrical systems including wire sizing.
* Basic knowledge of generator operation and repair, workplace safety, and safe work procedures.
* An understanding of industrial safety procedures and practices pertaining to working around operation equipment.
* Ability to perform preventative maintenance on HVACR equipment, such as changing filters and belts, cleaning units, working on thermostats, valves, ductwork, gauges, diffusers, etc.
* Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVACR systems including proper recovery/reclaiming or refrigerant, finding and correcting superheat or sub cooling, sweat cooper, soldering/brazing, insulating refrigerant lines, performing leak test, flush lines.
* Ability to assist in the installation, repair, and/or replacement of common HVACR system components such as AHUs, VAVs, DX Units, Hydronic systems, chillers, boilers, variable frequency drives, and heat exchangers.
* Ability to wire circuits/components.
* Ability to read blueprints and electrical and mechanical system drawings.
Level II:
* Journeyman level knowledge regarding the installation, maintenance, repair and proper operation of a wide array of complex HVACR systems.
* Journeyman level knowledge regarding a wide array of complex HVACR systems components such as AHUs, VAVs, DX Units, Hydronic systems, chillers, boilers, variable frequency drives, and heat exchangers.
* Journeyman level knowledge regarding troubleshooting, assessment, and diagnostic techniques for complex HVAC and refrigeration system problems.
* Journeyman level knowledge regarding project management and the planning, directing, scheduling, and managing of HVACR system repair projects; HVACR control systems and the ability to install repair, and replace control components; digital controls and the ability to install, repair, and replace digital control components; pneumatic controls and the ability to install, repair, and replace pneumatic control components.
* Journeyman level knowledge in the use of air and water flow measurement equipment and the ability to accurately use such equipment; building air and water "test and balance" procedures and practices and the ability to test and balance a building system.
* Basic knowledge of fire alarm systems and how they interact with HVACR system operation and controls.
* Supervisory skills, along with the ability to communicate tasks and direction to subordinates in a clear and concise manner.
* Ability to install, repair, and/or replace a wide array of HVACR system components such as AHUs, VAVs, DX Units, Hydronic systems, chillers, boilers, variable frequency drives, and heat exchangers.
* Ability to troubleshoot, assess, and diagnose routine HVAC and refrigeration systems problems.
* Ability to assist in planning and executing HVACR system repair projects.
* Ability to install, repair, and replace HVACR control components, digital control components, pneumatic control components.
* Ability to accurately use of air and water flow measurement equipment.
* Ability to test and balance a building system.
* Ability to use building automatic systems (such as Johnson Controls Metasys system) to find and trouble shoot issues.

Level I:
* Valid Driver's License
* Universal Refrigerant Card or must obtain within the first 90 days of employment.
Level II:
* Valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain prior to selection.
* Universal Refrigerant Card.
* North American Technician Excellence (NATE) HVAC Support Technician Certification or approved equivalent per Auburn University Facilities Management Policy: "Training, Education & Certification Requirements for Mechanical and Electrical Trades Personnel".
