The Technical Assistant are hired to assist in the Garland Sales Representative's execution of their job responsibilities as it relates to project management, on-site quality control, contractor and customer daily communication, core sampling, inspections and assistance with specifications, details, RAMP (Roof Asset Management Planning software), asset management, etc. Additionally, the position will plan, coordinate, direct and supervise subcontractors and vendors engaged on project ensuring that they complete the work on time, within budget and to the quality specified. This person will work directly with the Garland Sales Representative, client, subcontractors and vendors to facilitate the completion of project.
CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist in assessing new projects and leak solutions via inspection reports, photographs and working with subcontractors.
Assist in development of asset management plans, project specific plans, details and specifications.
Controls the flow of information on project site.
Manages sub-contractors by evaluating, monitoring and controlling performance.
Track jobsite progress via daily reports and photographs.
Monitors the work and compares work in place to the schedule and specification requirements.
Enforce quality assurance and control for compliance with the specification.
Engage in business development activities (as needed).
Develop/market insulation plans/packages.
Develop custom roof drawing/detail packages.
Assist contractors with core samples (roofing/abatement/CLEAR testing).
Provide daily updates to the Garland Representative.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possession at least a high school diploma and a post-secondary degree is preferred. A background in construction, construction design, estimating, engineering or architecture is preferred. Must possess excellent skills in math, writing, public relations and communication, both written and oral. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,). Ability to learn Visio or Lucid Chart and Microsoft Project. Ability to multi-task in a detailed oriented team environment. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management with emphasis on the sales force and end user.
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
The Technical Assistant must be able to carry, push, pull, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. of roofing material routinely; climb ladders/ extension ladders routinely; climb ladders while carrying packages or bags weighing approximately 30 lbs.; climb and traverse different roof levels; jump down from different roof levels; read at, above, and below shoulder height; occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch; sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment and to cut and manipulate products/ materials and use a flashlight; tolerate inclement weather, including excessive heat, cold, humidity, and rain; and have a normal range of tolerance to household and other types of typical industrial/ construction chemicals and solvents.
The Technical Assistant must be able to communicate orally in a clear, concise and effective manner with the customers, account representatives, company representatives, management, staff, and the public in face-to-face, one-on-one and group settings. Ability to use a telephone for communication. Maintaining regular predictable and punctual attendance at assigned job locations is essential. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Use office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and facsimile machines. Ability to communicate in writing in a clear, concise and effective manner. Sit or stand for extended time periods. Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges. The Facilities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Facilities Director in the overall maintenance and upkeep of the community. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facility Services
Review the maintenance log daily and complete any task which are in the scope of your job duties (initial and date each task as completed)
Conduct inspections of furniture and providing appropriate maintenance and schedule detail cleanings with vendors
Complete minor repairs such as replacement of faucet washers and spindles, faulty window latches, broken tank toilet handles, unplugging clogged toilets and drains, changing light bulbs, tightening loose hinges or door mechanisms, diagnostic & repair of stand-alone saflok door lock units i.e. batteries replacement and general maintenance
Perform task that involve hanging of bulletin boards, pictures, coat hooks and necessary items in resident's suites and associate's offices
Acts as the liaison with respect to the Facilities Director, Executive Director and external vendors
Responsible for touch up paint jobs, furniture refinishing, furniture moving, transportation of extraneous materials for elimination to proper sites
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Steam clean or shampoo carpet
Make adjustments to heating cooling and ventilation system which may include changing filters
Gather and empty trash
Remove debris from outdoor porches, parking lot and dumpster area
Replace light bulbs throughout the community
Notify supervisor, by documenting in the maintenance log, concerning the need for major repairs or additions to the building operating systems

Strategically located, the AUC Woodruff Library serves as the intellectual and social centerpiece of the Atlanta University Center.
The Library is seeking a highly motivated individual to expand access to and enhance the discoverability of HBCU cultural heritage collections through a full-time, temporary position. In collaboration with the Digital Services Department, the Digitization Technical Assistant will assist in the creation of digital collections for inclusion in the Harvard HBCU Digital Library Trust project. The Digitization Technical Assistant will be responsible for preparing archival materials for digitization, utilizing basic preservation techniques, and digitizing various formats including photographs, documents, and publications in accordance with best practices and national standards. Additionally, the role involves creating descriptive metadata, producing derivative images, and facilitating online access to digital collections for students, historians, and scholars worldwide. The Digitization Technical Assistant will report directly to the Digitization Project Manager for the Harvard HBCU Digital Library Trust for the duration of the project.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digitize various original archival materials, including documents, manuscripts, photographs, negatives, bound volumes, and publications, in accordance with professional standards and best practices.
Demonstrate proficiency in operating specialized scanning hardware and software designed for cultural heritage digitization.
Ensure the overall quality of digitization activities by creating high-resolution preservation images, adhering to file naming and storage protocols, editing images as necessary, and generating derivative images for access purposes.
Under the guidance of the Digitization Project Manager, create descriptive metadata for original archival materials, such as documents, manuscripts, photographs, negatives, bound volumes, publications, and audiovisual materials, following industry standards and best practices.
Conduct quality control of exported derivatives, ensuring proper file placement in storage, verifying file naming conventions, file types, bit depth, resolution, page count, OCR, and cropping for consistency.
Assist in preparing audiovisual formats for outsourced digitization.
Conduct research to accurately identify, date, and describe documents and publications.
Provide weekly progress updates to project team leaders.
Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

The Medication Technician is responsible for all duties related to safely administering medications and treatments to the residents. This position requires legible, accurate documentation on the medication record and in the resident chart. The Medication Technician position requires a responsible demeanor, caring nature and ability to contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Administers the medications and treatments, according to the scheduled times, following the medication administration protocol
* Maintains confidentiality of resident and fellow employee's information
* Notifies Resident Care Coordinator /Executive Director/RN of resident changes of condition
* Assists with monthly medication records as needed
* Maintains the cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the Med room and Med cart
* Has knowledge of, and can demonstrate proper technique, or can learn how to assist with: a gait belt, sit to stand lift, transfer board, oxygen equipment, C-Pap, Nebulizer, catheter, specimen, transfer pole, trapeze, wheelchair, scale, and other equipment as directed by the Resident Care Coordinator /RN
* Capable of taking accurate vital signs and weights
* Fill-in for the receptionist as directed by Executive Director/Resident Care Coordinator
* Fill in for a caregiver when needed
* Capable of assisting in care needs of residents, which might include lifting requirements up to 40 pounds
* Work as manager on duty as directed by Executive Director/ Resident Care Coordinator
* Keep current on First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration skills
* Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management staff
Other Requirements:
* High school graduate preferred
* Proficiency in English required
* Attends in-services monthly required for position
* Has familiarity and willingness to work with the elderly population. Previous experience preferred, but not necessary. We are willing to train!

Maintain diary and follow up for outstanding items-post bind
Policy and Endorsement issuance
Issue quotes and binders with assistant and/or underwriter guidance when necessary.
Follow up for and send out renewal letters as directed

Qualifications and Education Requirements
College degree or equivalent work experience as an Assistant with demonstrated involvement in insurance industry education preferred.
