Utilize expertise to create and deliver lesson plans for students receiving gifted services.
Determine present level of performance and use the data to drive academic instruction.
Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students on roster.
Conduct IEP meetings for students on her roster (annual, addendums, MDRs, and re-evaluations)
Implement students' Individualized Education Plans.
Maintain communication with parents and conduct IEP meetings.
Maintain compliance in the online IEP generating and monitoring system Ed Plan.
Ensure IEP file folders are up to date and reflect the student's data in Ed Plan.
Maintain communication with the Chief of Academic Advancement on programmatic concerns and/or needs.
Follow a schedule to provide services.

IOTA Community Schools is looking for a part time Gifted teacher for the current school year! In collaboration with IOTA, the candidate will:
Provide and deliver gift student services to any of our IOTA Community Schools
Purpose and Scope:
Teacher is to provide students identified as gifted with individualized support plans and execute the plans as documented, complying with state and federal laws.
Teacher will provide services to designated students, following initial training, and parent meetings.
During the first three weeks, services will not exceed 10 hours a week. The remainder of the duration, services will not exceed 5 hours a week. A request for hours must be approved by the Chief of Academic Advancement before performance occurs.
Responsibilities:
Utilize expertise to create and deliver lesson plans for students receiving gifted services.
Determine present level of performance and use the data to drive academic instruction.
Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students on roster.
Conduct IEP meetings for students on her roster (annual, addendums, MDRs, and re-evaluations)
Implement students' Individualized Education Plans.
Maintain communication with parents and conduct IEP meetings.
Maintain compliance in the online IEP generating and monitoring system Ed Plan.
Ensure IEP file folders are up to date and reflect the student's data in Ed Plan.
Maintain communication with the Chief of Academic Advancement on programmatic concerns and/or needs.
Follow a schedule to provide services.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Candidates must have either (a) valid Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate gifted endorsement to teach or (b) a valid out of state license that can successfully be transferred to Tennessee within 30 days of employment

Additional Information
This is a part-time role, paying $32-hour based on submitted and agreed upon hours. Depending on licensure, a full-time role may be available in the future. This work will take place on multiple campuses so must have a reliable method of transportation within school hours.
