Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process including iPads, Clever Touch boards and online instructional platforms, such as Freckle Math and Reading. Use STAR testing data to target individual learning targets for students Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, spiritual, and emotional development of students. Manage student behavior in accordance with the Code of Conduct, using a positive and proactive management system. Create an environment of respect and rapport, rooted in faith. Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, principals, colleagues, and community members. Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly using FACTS. Communicate updates with parents through weekly newsletters. Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds. Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time. Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking. Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
