SEEDS works with competitive, primarily independent, secondary schools to provide opportunities for highly motivated, academically qualified, and economically disadvantaged students.
The Summer Challenge Program (SCP) welcomes approximately 130 New Jersey students each year. SCP is a residential program held on a boarding school campus and consists of daily classes in English, Math, and History for three weeks during the summer following 7th grade. At the completion of the three weeks, selected students are invited to continue with the Scholars Program and participate in a twelve‐month program of classes, retreats, workshops, and events.
The Capstone Experience
(Capstone) is the final phase of the 14‐month Scholars Program, engaging approximately 95 SEEDS Scholars in academic enrichment. Capstone is a residential program held at a boarding school campus. The program consists of daily classes in English, Math, Science, and History for three weeks during the summer after 8th grade. LOCATION

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, is looking for a part-time, NJ Standard certified intervention teacher to work with students in small groups in reading and math intervention at multiple non-public schools Hoboken, NJ.
This role is part-time, 15-20 hours per week at 2-3 schools.
Compensation is $35/hr.
Overview How you'll be there for students: Be their advocate, difference maker, and mentor.
Attends training sessions, passes content assessment, and delivers designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to eligible students through utilization of Catapult-designed materials and educational strategies.
Develops and maintains individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
Ensures supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from classroom or to mobile/trailer classroom.
Establishes and maintains student forms and files as required by Catapult, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
Attends and documents conferences/meetings/trainings with Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.
Other duties may be assigned.

Educational Requirements
New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education
Certification may be for specific grade levels (e.g., Birth-Grade 2, Grades 1-6, or Grades 7-12).
Must be in good standing with the NYS Department of Education.
Typically includes credentials such as:
Students with Disabilities (SWD) Grades 1-6
SWD Grades 7-12
Bachelor's Degree (minimum requirement)
In education, special education, or a related field.
Master's Degree
In special education or a related discipline.
Experience
Teaching or Tutoring Experience
At least 1-3 years of experience teaching or tutoring students with disabilities.
Experience with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and 504 Plans is often required.
Specialized Experience (optional)
Experience with specific disabilities (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia).
Familiarity with adaptive technology or assistive devices.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven success in improving academic outcomes for students with special needs.
