This is a hybrid simulation role, performing a wide range of responsibilities needed to support simulation experiences and lab responsibilities across multiple sites and programs. The primary responsibility of the position is to support the online Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program working in direct coordination with the simulation team at Center for Healthcare Education and Simulation (CHES), ABSN online faculty, and the ABSN online program director. The online ABSN program requires students to complete in-person physical assessment, skills development, and simulation experiences. This position will demonstrate simulation expertise, educational collaboration, logistical coordination, and technological skill to ensure consistent, effective, lab coordination and innovative clinical simulation that align with best practices in healthcare education and simulation. The position requires travel to multiple simulation sites throughout Wisconsin, including but not limited to Madison, Janesville, and Beloit, with scheduling based on program needs. Responsibilities: Plan and Execute Simulation and Skills Lab Experiences * Collaborate with stakeholders to create and deliver simulations that are appropriate to the learners/participants. * Develop and deliver simulation scenarios in accordance with best practices in both education and simulation research. * Ensure objectives and evaluations are aligned with goals of the simulation, integrating any accreditation or regulatory requirements. * Identify and implement creative ideas to ensure simulation activities are as realistic as possible. * Perform troubleshooting assistance with simulation operations and technical support as needed. * Collaborate with other simulation staff to ensure consistent application of simulation practices. * Perform Pre-simulation Activities * Program and execute patient scenarios utilizing technology such as simulators, computers, software, and electronic medical record technology. * Create and distribute pre-simulation and supportive learning materials and documentation. * Prepare scenario props and moulage. * Support the training and orientation of instructors to effectively facilitate simulation sessions. * Obtain signed release/confidentiality forms from learners/participants. *

Salary Information

This position may receive supplemental (add-on) pay adjustments for additional credits relevant to the position that are over and above the credits needed for certification. This add-on ranges from $0.97/hour to $2.97/hour of additional pay, based on relevant credits and professional development actions, as allowed in Section A (4.12) of the Compensation Plan.

To meet the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Carpentry 410 and Cabinetmaking 409 instructional credentialing requirements for this position you must have:
An Associate Degree with a Technical Diploma in Wood Technics and 3.5 years (7,000 hours) verifiable occupational experience in carpentry field, one year (2,000 hours) of which must be in the last 5 years.
OR
A Technical Diploma in Wood Technics and 4.5 years (9,000 hours) of verifiable occupational experience in the carpentry field, one year (2,000 hours) of which must be within the last 5 years and a willingness to complete Associate's degree in an agreed upon timeframe
OR
7 years (14,000 hours) of verifiable occupational experience in carpentry field with willingness to complete an Associate's degree (at your own cost) in an agreed upon timeframe.

About the Position
Garden Educators will work at both the Troy Kids' Garden and Madison School Farm. Both programs serve youth ages 3 through 18 with outdoor, garden-based learning.
