Horizons at New Canaan Country School is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for photography and children to document our six-week summer program while it is in session (Monday, June 23 - Friday, August 1). This position will report to our Marketing and Development Manager who will provide a shot list around parts of the day (arrivals, swimming, classroom time, etc.). In addition, he or she will handle editing of the photos and adding them to the Smugmug folders as well. These photos will be used for marketing materials to promote our summer program while it is in session and beyond. The work schedule can be flexible, but we are looking for someone who can provide a minimum of 8-10 hours a week. The program aims to help close the opportunity gap experienced by underserved students by providing opportunities for academic and overall personal development so that they are able to pursue their dreams and fulfill their ultimate potential. Responsibilities and Activities: • Be in-person on the campus of New Canaan Country School to photograph various parts of our program to capture for use in online and printed promotional materials (social media, newsletters, website, annual report, slideshows) • Work with the Development and Communications Manager to ensure a photo shot list is captured • Editing photos and uploading on Horizons smugmug account Requirements Skills and/or Abilities: • Photography and editing skills • Positive attitude and comfortable being around children How much is the compensation for this position? Work outside, upright, and mobile for six (6) to eight (8) hours per day * Respond to emergencies, including running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and ascending stairs without undue exertion.
