Student Support & School Culture Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, colleagues, administrators, and BGLIG families Support the dual-language program by making connections between English and Spanish language instruction, creating dual-language projects and instructional opportunities, and supporting all students as language learners. Establish, involve, and assist students in the development, maintenance, and evaluation of portfolios. Develop and use rubrics for evaluating student products and performances. Oversee and assist with student arrival/dismissal. Work closely with all members of the school community, model citizenship, collaboration, and support of one another. Qualifications Alignment to BGLIG's core values and mission. Bachelor's Degree required, Masters Degree in the field of education preferred. NYS teaching certification required. Experience in a high-performing charter or district school, preferred but not required. Strong classroom management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with a diverse staff. SEEDS - Access Changes Everything (formerly New Jersey SEEDS) is a privately funded, statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities to academically talented, financially limited students. SEEDS works with competitive, primarily independent, secondary schools to provide opportunities for highly motivated, academically qualified, and economically disadvantaged students. The Summer Challenge Program (SCP) welcomes approximately 130 New Jersey students each year. SCP is a residential program held on a boarding school campus and consists of daily classes in English, Math, and History for three weeks during the summer following 7th grade. At the completion of the three weeks, selected students are invited to continue with the Scholars Program and participate in a twelve‐month program of classes, retreats, workshops, and events. New City Kids is a place where children and teens come to experience love, life and transformation. Our goal is to help children understand their God given value. The primary focus of this position will be to teach Snapology programs. Instructors are asked to promote creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills while educating students on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) concepts. Programs are conducted for children ages 2-14, although not all instructors are required to teach all age groups. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents and children with a high degree of professionalism.
