SANY is excited to announce the opening of an ELA Teacher positions (Grades 8-12) for Syracuse Academy of Science High School for the 2025-2026 academic year.
We are looking for dynamic, collaborative, flexible and engaging educators. We have a great environment for new teachers and encourage experienced teachers to apply! New York State Certification required.
We need Teachers who will:
Provide engaging lesson plans that conform to the charter's curriculum; which is designed to meet the state's core educational standards
Possess strong understanding of Common Core standards and state learning standards
Have the ability to modify/redesign/develop curriculum as needed
Collaborate with staff to determine charter's requirement for the instructional goals, objectives, and methods
Be ready to prepare students for the standardized tests relevant to the content area
Have excellent content knowledge and pedagogy

The UPK Teacher Assistant provides essential support to the UPK Teacher in delivering a high-quality educational experience to preschool students! They collaborate closely with the teacher to plan and implement activities that foster students' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM:
The District seeks certified teachers, highly qualified teaching assistants or degreed individual, who will work directly with students, facilitate group activities, produce in-person and/or virtual lesson plans and instructional delivery, provide focused individual attention and foster strong relationships that positively influence children's lives. Extensions are being offered to qualified staff for up to 15 hours per week (depending on staffing needs). Programs will run for 90-107 program days, generally Monday through Friday, according to a predetermined afterschool calendar. The after school program will be led and facilitated by a designed SCSD Program Lead and supervised by a SCSD Building Administrator.
