    JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT The Children's Learning Center (CLC) is a preschool and lab school for the Department of Teacher Education. The school serves children who are 6 weeks through 5 years of age. The CLC's curriculum is based on state and national standards, including the Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards. Teachers use developmentally appropriate practices as they offer a variety of learning experiences and environments to the children. Teachers are expected to provide overall leadership in the classrooms as they involve parents in their children's education, supervise pre-service teachers, collaborate with SSU faculty, and mentor students completing field experiences at the CLC. This is a full-time 9-month administrative employment position. The search committee will review applications until the position is filled. The initial review of applicants will take place on 1/2/2025.
