Coordinate with USCYBERCOM, DoD, DIA, NSA, DISA, and subordinate organizations to support the resolution of issues with security, A&A, connection approvals, and waiver requests. Perform network, cloud, information systems, hardware, software and device security authorization and assessments, as well as the application and execution of policy, including project management support services. Validate the patching of systems, perform validation scanning, develop Plans of Action & Milestone (POA&Ms), and report as directed by applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Provide subject matter expertise for COA development and the implementation of Cybersecurity mitigation strategies. Develop and implement required processes, procedures, and capabilities to mitigate vulnerabilities and weaknesses for software and hardware deployment. Identify, implement and validate continued effectiveness of key performance parameters and applied security measures. Perform analytics on cybersecurity posture and provide reports to the AO/DAO and applicable stakeholders as required per ISCM and AO/DAO direction. Qualifications Experience/Skills: 5+ years of progressive, relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with the US Combatant Commands (USCENTCOM/USSOCOM) is desired. Technical background with system administration experience, architecture and engineering preferred Technical background in networking, identity management, Microsoft and Linux operating systems, database, and mobility Working knowledge of the RMF. Knowledge of the Telos Xacta or Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS) system is desired. Must have excellent communications skill (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Description Performs as part of a team that manages Reliability Standards Compliance monitoring and reporting process to ensure Seminole's auditable compliance with FERC, NERC & FRCC standards as well as FERC Standards of Conduct. Works with Managers and their teams to ensure that System Operations is meeting its NERC compliance responsibilities in a timely manner. Under the direction of Managers, helps maintain existing System Operations tools and technologies such as OATI applications, load forecasting, weather forecasting and solar forecasting as well as providing input on changes needed to existing tools. Implements changes to those tools as approved. Investigates alternatives to existing tools and additional tools thereby maintaining a general understanding of the state of industry and the associated trends. Keeps System Operations leadership aware of those trends and makes recommendations as appropriate. Essential Functions Coordinates NERC compliance activities within the System Operations department and with other Operations Division departments to ensure Compliance requirements are met within the System Operations department. Coordinates with Corporate Compliance regarding compliance monitoring activities such as audits, spot checks, compliance self-assessments and self-certification for System Operations' areas of responsibility. Ensures that System Operations addresses requests from the corporate compliance team and that compliance issues are addressed in a timely manner. Coordinates with System Operations management to identify and address potential areas of non-compliance and anticipates future compliance requirements within System Operations. Participates in coordination of mandatory filings for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, related to NERC Emergency Operations Standards and DOE reports. Assists with the evaluation & preparation of procedural documentation, ongoing monitoring, testing, and remediation. Collaborates with System Operations and Corporate Compliance personnel to Interpret new and existing regulations to determine applicability and procedures for compliance. Provides technical knowledge in the planning, development, organization, coordination, implementation, and review of Internal Departmental Compliance Program. Participates with team of personnel in the performance of audits, surveillances, and assessments Monitors daily compliance performance of System Operations to ensure all compliance obligations are addressed timely and within required parameters. Provides regular feedback to System Operations managers and director regarding compliance performance and recommended improvements. Provides technical support to the System Operations team on System Operations tools and technologies. Coordinates with both Operations Technology (OT) personnel and Business Technology (BT) personnel to ensure effective functionality of all technologies used within System Operations. Tracks ongoing OT/IT tickets (ChangeGear, IT service requests, etc.) to ensure timely resolution. Performs other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, applicable equivalent electric power training and project management experience. May substitute two (2) years of experience for each one (1) year of academics. Must acquire and maintain knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards and their application to the various System Operations functions. Must acquire and maintain knowledge with the technical terminology used in reliability standards. Must acquire and maintain knowledge of the tools and technologies associated with System Operations such as load/solar/weather forecasting, Southeast Energy Exchange Market (SEEM), FRCC, OATI and others as needed.
