Under the general direction of the Associate District Athletic Director, the Athletic Site Coordinator serves as an extension of the Athletic Department and manages athletics at their home site. These duties include coordinating all aspects of game day management and supervision. In addition, the Site Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with coaches on scheduling competitions (non conference) and practices;submitting transportation requests, and collecting accurate inventory. The Site Coordinator also serves as a support to the Progress Monitoring program and FinalForms compliance by assisting with monitoring student athletes and program deficiencies. . The Site Coordinator must possess: ? Strong planning and organizational skills. ? Be highly motivated with ? Effective communication skills, both oral and written. ? SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Athletic Site Manager will oversee event management positions (ticket taker, concessions workers, etc.) Provide leadership and oversight of the ticket takers, announcers, timers, concessions workers and statisticians, custodians and security. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (May not include all duties performed) ? Collect and secure gate receipts and monies from each event. ? Ensure all ticket deposit receipts are properly managed in accordance with the Operations Manual. ? Ensure proper payroll documentation is submitted to the athletics office in a timely manner. ? Ensure game officials complete payroll paperwork. ? Work closely with the building's Associate Director of Athletics and the Office of Safety & Security to ensure proper coverage for all building level events. ? Ensure programs are in place to emphasize and improve the academic achievement of student-athletes. ? Foster positive school-community relations by keeping the public aware of, and responsive to, the schools' athletic programs. ? Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism in dealing with constituent groups including students, coaches, athletic staff, faculty, administrators and parents. ? Arrange for field and gym practice schedules and coordinate the necessary preparation, improvement and maintenance of athletic facilities. ? Athletic Site Manager KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES ? Comprehensive knowledge of OHSAA and district board of education policies pertaining to athletics. ? Comprehensive knowledge of school system organization, departmental responsibilities, mission, goals and philosophy of the district, board of athletic control and OHSAA. ? Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and concisely orally and in writing and with a high degree of integrity. ? CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Possess all required coaching certificates required by OHSAA: ? pupil activity permit, fundamental of coaching certification , ? a valid CPR and First-Aid certification, ? concussion in sports certification, and ? cardiac arrest course certification. PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES/DEMANDS Work requires moderate physical activities required for observations, attendance at athletic events, indoor and outdoor activities, walking, standing, and sitting. Office activities may include operating office equipment, communication equipment, lifting, moving, carrying light equipment, supplies, etc. WORK ENVIRONMENT Most of the time work involves only exposure to normal everyday risks, however, some activities may involve exposure to normal risks involved in observing or conducting athletic clinics, observing athletic events, etc. Night and weekend hours will be required. Confirms attendance and obtain the principal's permission to be away when duties conflict with classroom responsibilities. * Works with the head coach to address issues related to participation in board sanctioned activities away from home as directed. * Provides close supervision and takes reasonable precautions to ensure student safety. Does not leave students unsupervised. * Promotes the proper use and care of school property. Ensures that students store equipment safely and keep the locker rooms and practice areas orderly. Helps keep track of school supplies and equipment used by athletes, student trainers/managers, volunteers, etc. * Helps ensure the security of equipment at home and when traveling. * Maintains an awareness of advances in equipment technology. Recommends modifications that enhance student safety. * Helps with the preparation and maintenance of an equipment inventory for the assigned sport. Helps store athletic equipment at the end of the season. * Helps with the management of team communications (e.g., inquiries, game programs, brochures, mail, E-mail, announcements, news releases, questionnaires, catalogs, etc.). * Helps verify the list of letter winners. Ensures that participants have fulfilled all requirements for letters, awards, and recognition certificates. * Promotes a favorable image and recognition of team members in the school and community.
