The successful candidate will be responsible for the adoption and supervision of the Controller/Mapper roles within the Autonomous Haulage System, during implementation of the project including completion of Autonomous Haulage training at Nevada Gold Mines, Cortez Operations. Responsibilities:
Supervision of Control room and daily activities for productive haulage across multiple crews. Communicate system issues from control room to management and vendor
Support development of a training model, curriculum, and competency evaluation for Autonomous Operations at NGM
Plan to execute training and competency evaluation of system operators to adhere to NGM processes and procedures
Liaise between autonomous operations and engineering to ensure the timely and accurate transmission of operating plans and performance reports

Qualifications:
Accredited post-secondary education (a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ Chemical/Mining or related field) will be considered as experience, amount depending on nature and extent required
Eight (8) years practical experience in a dispatching role, preferably in a position in the open pit mining environment required
Two (2) years practical experience in supervision human resourcing, communications, employee engagement, technical services or operations department within the mining environment preferred
Autonomous systems experience preferred
Demonstrated safety leadership capability for both self and team required
Excellent leadership, people, and communication skills to act as a “Change Agent” required
Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills, and analytical skills required

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Qualifications
* A minimum of 5 years of Drill Services or drilling experience required.

* Ability to use a GPS, understand azimuth and inclination, and set up drill rigs and plan drill pads.
* Proficiency with Microsoft products required. Knowledge of GIS software preferred.
* Ability to plan and organize work, prioritize, make complex decisions and lead others.
* A minimum of 21 year of age with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
* Legally authorized to work in the United States.

**Position Summary**
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term role that prepares an employee to perform a higher-level supervisory role, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor.
