Ardurra is seeking a Construction Manager/Inspector/Engineer to join our Aviation team in Meridian, ID!
Primary Function
The Construction Manager/Inspector/Engineer oversees organizing and coordinating all necessary project resources and paperwork, through regular contact and coordination with the owner, contractors, and project team members. Performs assignments which require the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related construction management tasks. Assignments involve some unusual or difficult problems requiring heavy civil construction and/or engineering knowledge.
Primary Duties
Monitor and document construction activities to ensure compliance to the plans and specifications
Interpret and explain plans, specifications, and contract terms to contractors, clients, stakeholders, etc.
Prepare financial and project documents, reports, or budgets.
Assisting to observe that the work is completed in general accordance with the drawings and specifications, daily field reporting, tracking contractor's installed quantities, observing material tests, documenting test results and serving as liaison between engineer and contractor.
Organize project information and maintain records
Coordinate Field/Change Orders as needed
Assist in writing project specifications
Provide constructability reviews of plans and specifications
Calculate quantities/take-offs
Coordination with contractors and clients
Prepare for and conduct weekly progress meetings, pre-bid meetings/presentations, pre-construction meetings/presentations, etc.
Assist in design of airport projects
Required Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field
Experience solving complex problems under time constraints.
Experience managing small-to-mid size airport or transportation projects preferred.
Must be willing to travel and work overtime (paid) as needed during construction season
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to safely operate a vehicle
Experience with AutoCAD or willingness to learn is a plus
Salary Range
$60,000 to $80,000/year (DOE)

Who You Are:
You are responsible for supporting the organization's home building goals. Your weekly duties include leading future homebuyers and volunteers in performing in-house construction activities, including site preparation, foundation systems, rough framing, window and door installation, weatherproofing, siding, painting, flooring installation, millwork installation, interior painting, and landscaping. You'll be responsible for:
Volunteers and Partner Homeowners
* Lead Habitat Crew Leads and crews of volunteers in building homes
* Ensure appropriate safety practices at all times
* Teach needed skills to new volunteers
* Conduct regular quality control inspections
* Assist in the training of Crew Leads and volunteers
* Understand elements that contribute to successful volunteers and help ensure that volunteers have a consistently positive, encouraging environment, motivating them to return
