Coordinates and chairs all School Appraisal Team (S.A.T.) functions (i.e. referrals, assessments, placements, and other related duties). Is responsible for the identification of students with special needs, and the development and implementation of an individualized educational plan for all students admitted to the resource specialist program. Is responsible for referring to the Educational Assessment Services all students not making adequate progress in the resource specialist program. Is responsible for supervising at least one full time resource specialist aide. Is responsible for developing appropriate behavioral management strategies. Is responsible for administering appropriate assessment tools for identifying, placing, and evaluating students referred to SAT. Shall provide appropriate materials and media for regular classroom instruction as needed.
