Operates a vehicle and a variety of equipment such as a computer, printer, smart board, fax machine, copier, calculator, telephone, public address system, audio-visual equipment, two-way radio, etc.
Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as Principal, Assistant Principals, Superintendent, professional peers, subordinates, faculty and other school staff, other District Administrators and staff, Board members, various committees, various government and community agencies, students, parents, volunteers, vendors, college recruiters, and the general public.
Attends training, conferences, and workshops as appropriate to enhance job knowledge and skills.
Performs related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid South Carolina teaching certificate.
Knowledge of overall operations of an athletic program.
Five or more years of coaching experience
Must possess or be willing to obtain a Commercial Driver's License, Class B, for student athletic travel, when needed.

As a Teacher Assistant in our Summer Day Camp for grades K-8, you will help campers make new friends; keep them safe both physically and mentally; build positive relationships with their families; lead large and small group games; teach reading lessons, STEM, and character development; sing songs; swim; encourage personal fitness, and lead devotions. Occasional extended and/or non-traditional hours and/or other duties may be required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordinates the site in accordance with YMCA guidelines, ensuring all program curriculum and materials are prepared accordingly and accessible.
Builds effective, authentic relationships with staff, students and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Encourages parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers.
Maintains records as required (i.e. site checklist, attendance, food service, staff & student forms, etc.).
Attends staff meetings and training as scheduled. Selected candidates must be able to attend the Association Camp Training.
Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes discipline, incident, and accident reports as necessary.
Ensures that the site is kept organized and all supplies are put away daily. Reports damaged equipment.
Required to Participate in Aquatics Activities (Including Swimming, or Deck Supervision).
