This includes attending to student progress in key program benchmarks such as entry into student teaching and recommendation for licensure. + Collaborate with Advising and with Admissions to review potential admissions and transfer students and make recommendations. + Participate in continued improvement/refinement of practices and policies with Advising and Admissions for assessing admissions and transfer applications. **Scheduling and Staffing** + Coordinate the scheduling of courses and assignment of instructors + Coordinate doctoral student teaching and field coaching appointments. + Design, implement, and manage a system for hiring and assigning field coaches and lecturers, including an application and selection process, in collaboration with Associate Dean of Undergraduate and Teacher Education. **Teaching and Seminar Leadership** + Lead practicum seminars, student teaching seminars, and/or professional development sessions for field coaches, as part of the Elementary Education curriculum and supporting practicum placements specific to the ELED program. + Provide support for doctoral student instructors in the ELED program through monthly group mentoring meetings and individual support as needed. **Accreditation and Program Improvement** + Lead accreditation efforts for the ELED program in collaboration with other teacher education program chairs, the AD of Undergraduate/Teacher Education, and the Director of Field Experience. + Collaborate with the Office of Field Experiences on the program improvement cycle, including implementing recommendations from reauthorization processes and integrating with internal program improvement processes. + Provide input on data collection tools used for both program improvement (e.g., focus groups, surveys to mentors and candidates; exit surveys) and candidate performance (e.g., mentor surveys; field coach observation tools).
