Assist in the administrative needs of the GCWJ office which may include: Communicating over email with inside and outside partners, volunteers, donors, and students regarding events. Composing and sending the monthly newsletter. Assisting with writing and posting of the monthly blog. Coordinating student volunteer sign ups. Promoting events to students. Creating promotional content and flyers and posting. Submitting event announcements to Inside VU. Submitting Chapel Credits. Bringing creative ideas and other energy to the position. Curating content for social media through video and photography. Perform other related tasks as requested by the GCWJ Staff. REQUIRED HOURS/EVENTS: 6-10 Hours/week during each semester. No more than a maximum of 20 hours can be worked in one week. GCWJ Interns are not permitted to hold additional employment that is considered 'student leadership' due to scheduling conflicts. Required events include Welcome Weekend, Intern Training, Weekly Intern Meetings, Amplify Gala, Pray for Freedom, Ensure Justice, Live2free Fair Trade Fashion Show, WJST Grad Party THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Current student enrolled at Vanguard University in good standing (required). Vibrant belief in Jesus Christ with ample evidence of personal discipleship (required). Maintain minimum grade point average of 2.5 each term (required). Demonstrated commitment as a team player to support and collaborate with faculty, staff, peers, and external constituents, as well as the initiative and ability to work independently (required). Detail-oriented, high organizational skills, strong work ethic (required). Ability to work collaboratively or independently (required). Strong written communication and interpersonal skills (required). Prior involvement with the GCWJ office, events, or programs (preferred). Knowledge of VU student life, networks, and social calendar (required). Knowledge of Microsoft and Google (required). Knowledge of Canva (preferred). Knowledge of MailChimp (preferred). Compensation: This is a paid, hourly position compensated at $16/hour.
