Ability to draft efficient but thorough policies and procedures, explaining technical details in plain language. Learn about the Agropur business model and how to champion a system of improvements that will increase employee safety and health. Acquire and apply current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws pertaining to dairy manufacturing. Collect follow-up data to determine the effectiveness of implemented process improvements. Ability to draft efficient but thorough policies and procedures, explaining technical details in plain language. Assignments will vary according to plant needs but could include: Identify and implement ways to make safety procedures and information available to employees. Update training modules and quizzes. Over evolutionary time, some of these retroviruses have incorporated into germ cells and became part of the genome of their host (became endogenous). Sometimes, these endogenous viruses can become released, causing a new infection. The Aim of this lab is to determine how the endogenous viruses become released. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Keep an accurate scientific notebook per the requirements of the lab * Execute protocols according to procedure * Design experiments with relevant controls * Utilize safety training according to OSHA and lab regulations * Assist with planning experimentation via weekly lab meetings * Clean-up and maintenance of the laboratory setting including but not limited to: cleaning glassware and equipment; returning equipment and supplies to their storage location(s) prior to leaving the laboratory; communicating if/what additional cleaning requirements exist to the PI.
