Remote Street Sweeper Operator Job
The Transportation Specialist will support our Cross-dock operations at the borders. This candidate will manage our cross-dock operations, inbound/outbound flow, discrepancies, delays, business support, and other similar functions.
Fully In Office: Monday-Friday (Office located in El Paso, TX)
Shift time: 8 am - 5 pm
What You'll be Doing:
Manage Cross-Dock Operations, assuring inbound/outbound flow of freight, managing KPIs, performance review, supporting the business, problem solving and address inbound/outbound discrepancies and other similar functions.
Support the business in transportation management, shipment issue resolution and expedited shipment requests while improving quality of service to our customers
Manage the activities of local carriers with regards to inbound/outbound processes.
Insure domestic and international shipments, including US border crossing operations, are moved in accordance with company policy and procedure, and to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Manage the accuracy of inventory control & reporting at all cross-dock location.
Assure inventory is reported and accounted for on cross-dock provider's WMS systems.
Assist Arrow's Sales organizations on day to day shipment issue resolution, identification of root cause/corrective action and implementation of solutions to prevent reoccurring issues
Facilitate a proactive line of communication with the shipping and receiving leadership teams on changes that may affect transportation or distribution center operations
What You'll Need:
Associates or Bachelor degree in related area or equivalent work experience
4 years related experience
Experience working with carriers, distribution centers, logistics and 3PLs.
Experience working with Freight Forwarders.
Strong time management and communication skills.
Ability to work well both independently and in a cross functional team environment
Good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Experience working with a TMS, WMS and other Supply Chain systems preferred but not required
Experience in HazMat preferred but not required

Job Summary:

Perform required inspection of Broom Sweeper / Dump Truck, Pre-trip and Post-trip.

Perform the safe operation of a Broom Sweeper / Dump Truck.

Exercise extra caution during inclement weather.

Definition
Under general supervision, is responsible for the collection and disposal of refuse in an assigned area by operating a refuse collection vehicle; performs related duties as required.
Examples of Work

Collects refuse from refuse containers (e.g. dumpsters, ninety (90) or three hundred (300) gallon containers, compactor units) by driving and operating a refuse collection vehicle; safely collects refuse from assigned service locations within time frame allowed;
Maneuvers refuse collection vehicle to obtain proper position for refuse collection and observes and avoids other vehicles, power lines, trees, and other potential obstacles;
Operates mechanical devices from the cab of the truck to lift and dump containers and returns containers to original locations; picks up refuse that spills out during container collection;
Operates packer and ejector blades in order to compact and dump refuse at designated dumping site;
Loads roll-off containers onto vehicle, covers load with tarp, empties container at disposal site, and returns and, if applicable, reconnects container;

Prepares Pre-Route Checklist/Daily Collection Route Information sheet and other reports as required, reports damaged containers observed during route;
Performs minor preventive maintenance on refuse collection vehicle as necessary, including replacing worn side loader grippers, greasing grippers, and adding oil, water, and transmission, and hydraulic fluids, etc.;
Maintains the refuse collection vehicle by cleaning the interior and rear hopper to remove refuse at end of shift;
Communicates with the public to notify them of improperly prepared refuse items, to facilitate service to exemption residents, and to respond to requests for information or refer them to the proper personnel when necessary;
May utilize a mobile device to get directions and locate addresses with mapping software, receive messages and communicate with supervisors, and input refuse collection exceptions and other related data.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience operating a commercial motor vehicle OR six months of experience driving a refuse vehicle, OR six months experience as a Refuse Collector with the City of Columbus.
Possession of a valid Class B commercial driver's license with an air brakes endorsement.

Engage and develop relationships with customers and communicate client concerns to local leadership.
Maintain effective, level of communication with Local Leadership, to report service impacting issues.
Strong organizational skills Ability to follow company and department policies and procedures
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
A valid driver's license with less than three moving violations within the past three years.

Night Shift, 7pm - 7am.
Job Summary:
SCA is seeking experienced CDL B drivers with air brake endorsement. The Driver will operate a Broom Sweeper Truck or a Dump Truck/Follow Truck, providing prompt service to customers on scheduled routes, including new housing developments, local cities & road construction, etc. The Broom Truck will remove debris, including broken pavement, asphalt and concrete millings, mud and construction materials or highway debris build-up due to seasonal /weather changes and highway waste. The Follow Truck will tow an attenuator housing the arrow board, to help divert traffic around the Broom Sweeper.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform required inspection of Broom Sweeper / Dump Truck, Pre-trip and Post-trip.
Review scheduled routes assigned, be proactive in asking questions if route is unclear.
Perform the safe operation of a Broom Sweeper / Dump Truck.
Complete assigned job(s) in the time allotted while maintaining quality of work.
Exercise extra caution during inclement weather.
Report any equipment failures, near misses or accidents to Lead or Supervisor within 8 hours.
Over-night travel may be required.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
CDL Class B
Clean Driving record
DOT Medical Card
Requires work performed in outdoor environments/exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions.
Exposure to noise, vibrations, jarring, fumes grease oil & chemicals.
Active, physical work involving occasionally; lifting (50+ lbs.), carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching; walking, standing, and driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time. Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close & distant vision. Use of ear, eye and other safety equipment.
Requires regular use of hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
