For the Consulting Associate, Ocean Modeler (Entry Level) position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $59,094 - $66,644 (USD). An employee's pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employees fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are NOT bonus eligible).

What you will be doing
You will be deploying your expertise in transmission design and analysis across the following activities:
Developing and running transmission models using industry-standard software to analyze power flow, contingency analysis, and grid reliability
Advising generation project developers to assess interconnection options, transmission congestion, and grid impact studies
Providing technical support for regional transmission planners by simulating various planning scenarios and analyzing system reliability
Interpreting modeling results to generate actionable insights for clients, delivering clear reports and presentations
Stay up-to-date on regulatory and market developments affecting transmission planning and operations
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including market analysts, policy experts, and engineers.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in transmission modeling and analysis
Proficiency in using transmission modeling software such as PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, or similar tools
Strong understanding of power market operations, FERC regulations, and regional transmission planning processes
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
