Communicate incorrect orders, out-of-stocks, and other issues with buyers. Assist in preparing department for and participate in inventory counts. Merchandising Help maintain attractive, fully stocked and faced end caps, shelves, and displays. Front, face, and clean products and shelves on a normal basis. Help maintain proper signage by replacing shelf tags and requesting sale signs when needed. Ensure that the store is faced every closing shift and as needed. Department Maintenance Keep retail display areas and back-stock in clean, orderly condition, meeting health department standards. Record department shrink/damage promptly and accurately. Dust and clean shelves and product when stocking, remove trash promptly, and sweep and mop sales floor as needed. Maintain department equipment in working order. Monitor cooler temperatures (where applicable) and follow established procedures for handling breakdowns.
