Stock Manager job description

Chanel Norway is currently looking for a Stock Manager with a passion for upholding operational standards and processes.

The job of a Stock Manager is to support the boutique management and sales team with accurate inventory and ensuring that the flow of goods into and out of the boutique and after sales services are handled in an effective and optimized manner. You understand how to uphold operational standards and processes to deliver the ultimate Chanel experience to the client. The position is expected to be highly organized and must have a strong attention to detail to ensure that all company security policies concerning shipping, receiving, and corrections of inventories is being followed.
The position is based in Oslo and reports hierarchically to the Fashion Boutique Director.

Processing and handling of all boutique's deliveries (internal and external providers), shipments and administration of it, following company standard and procedure.Maintains a neat, organized and well-stocked merchandise area.With direction of Ops Lead, execute the stock cycle count program and annual physical inventory, analyzing results and seeking out discrepancies.Analyzing stock levels, sell through and slow sellers and follow up with management.Responding to incoming phone calls and emails received from CHANEL Clients regarding product requests, after-sales service, complaints, store hours, brand information and repairs follow ups Provide the highest level of customer service by promoting our total after-sale service directives.

Position Requirements
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated related experience Superior organisation skills and attention to detail with high level accuracy and efficiency.Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and previous experience in the use of point of sale systems with the ability to use these systems to run reports, manage stock etc.Good oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organisation.Willing to work retail hours, including some weekends when needed and asked from Management.A keen sense of customer service Physical requirements: able to bend, climb ladders, lift and move boxes up to 15kg and from time to time up to 25 kg.Fluent in Norwegian and English

Essential Job Functions:

* Provide stock associates with training and development in required skills and areas of job responsibilities.
* Provide work scheduling for all stock associates.
* Provide performance reviews on stock associates.
* Follow and implement all policies and procedures.
* Control labor.
* Attend department head meetings as needed.
* Inspect and rotate stock on a daily basis.
* Responsible for delegating workload of department fairly and evenly to stock associates.
* Responsible for completing all departmental paperwork and keeping accurate records.
* Ensure proper shelf tags are in place.
* Order and maintain inventory level according to store's daily needs.
* Assist with nightly bank deposits according to policies and procedures.
* Assist with opening and closing of the store.
* Run register as needed.
* Check refrigeration cases for problems hourly.
* Perform case counts for production projections.
* Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.

Qualifications:

* Must be 18 years of age or older
* Grocery Stocking experience a plus, but not required
* Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
* Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
* Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies

Overview:

Maintain a well stock appearance in the store which helps ensure the best guest experience is achieved

Responsibilities

• Responsible for contributing to efforts in the store’s achievements
• Meet company standards for appearance, performance, knowledge and personal grooming
• Understand and follow store operating procedures and policies. Be self-managing; focus on effective planning and time management as well as prioritization of tasks
• Assist Store Manager in training and enforcing security policies and procedures
• Actively participate in meetings, on conference calls, and through voice mail to inspire ideas, foster innovative thinking, identify opportunities and business observations, communicate best practices and determine solutions through open and honest dialogue
• Demonstrate leadership in driving sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding all established store and individual goals. Demonstrate professionalism when dealing with coworkers/customers
• Ensure shipments of merchandise are processed in and out of the store quickly and accurately. Ensure shelves and stockroom is fully stocked, well organized, clean, faced tagged and signed. Maintain cleanliness standards consistently. Ensure consistent awareness of the store’s merchandise
• Report any shipment discrepancies immediately to appropriate person, including Store/District Manager. Understand and communicate to Store Manager on weekly basis about the stock available and/or damaged
• Ensure all hangers are separated and placed in correct box/boxes. Responsible for condensing styles and ensuring fixtures are in one place.
