The Traffic Clerk is responsible for coordinating shipments at Watco Greens Port Industrial Park while ensuring compliance. Receives incoming materials, unloads, verifies correctness of received material against bill of lading invoices and checks for damaged parts, Inputs shipments into inventory Places parts into inventory bins and performs daily cycle counts Supervise warehouse Gate Checkers and Inventory Coordinators Communicate all significant inventory information to the Warehousing & Logistics Manager, Supervisors and other management to help facilitate shortage detection Direct Cycle Counting program and perform cycle counts Provide leadership and perform physical inventory counts during semi-annual physical inventory Review and process daily GSO (General Stores Order) Assist in any product recalls Facilitate excess inventory reduction by returning excess products to vendors Evaluate inventory levels, making adjustments to inventory min/max/reorder levels, safety stock, lead times, and inventory formulas to ensure sufficient supply to meet customers’ needs while maintaining targeted inventory turns Review picking process if inventory variances occur, instruct and train on appropriate picking methods -1st count pick up each piece in location and verify product and count, pull out any discrepancies -2nd count verifies discrepancies and goes to a different cycle counter, same process is followed -Final-report-lead will verify final discrepancies, product pulled must be either be put back and entered into inventory or inventory adjustment must be made -Perform routine cycle counts/audits of receiving and storage to ensure inventory is accurate within existing Warehouse Management System -Investigating and reconciling inventory discrepancies and Material Status Code changes -Investigating and determining the cause of errors for corrective action -Making necessary system transactions to maintain inventory accuracy -Performance of tasks may require limited use of MHE -Quality Assurance inventory in location to determine damaged and tagged wrong items
