We've got what you're looking for. Job Description: ****To qualify for this role, you must be able to deploy and be on long-term assignment on Kwajalein Island in the Marshall Islands. POSITION OVERVIEW: Performs essential tasks involving the installation and assembly of structural iron and steel required in the construction and renovation of family housing units. The incumbent must exercise good interpersonal and technical skills while adhering to required safety standards and building codes. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required. Installs and assembles iron and steel structures, including columns, beams, and girders, using hand tools and power tools. Aligns, levels, and anchors the structures to ensure stability and compliance with project specifications. Connects iron and steel components using bolts, screws, and welding equipment. Adheres to safety regulations. Inspects and maintains tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety. Collaborates with other construction professionals, including carpenters and plumbers, to ensure project requirements are met. Works directly with project managers, superintendents, and other construction professionals to review plans and make recommendations for improvements. Assists in coordinating specific project schedules by working with other iron workers, laborers, and required construction resources. Reviews and verifies materials to ensure conformance to direction provided by their project manager. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position, as appropriate. KEY RELATIONSHIPS Project Manager, Project Superintendent, Supervising Iron Worker, Lead Iron Worker EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of related work experience in ironworking, including installation, assembly, and welding. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Demonstrated proficiency in the use of ironworking tools and equipment Accuracy, attention to detail, consistency, and clarity in conformance with required job duties and safety standards Physical Requirements: Physically must be able to lift up to 75 pounds to overhead position. Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Able to work dayshift or nightshift. Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather condition. Ability to Relocate: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
