THE OPPORTUNITY: The Manufacturing Technology Engineer is responsible for leading various engineering and technology projects aimed at automating and optimizing manufacturing processes. This role focuses on evaluating and implementing new trends in grinding processes and advanced manufacturing technologies. The Manufacturing Technology Engineer works to understand, test, pilot, and scale chosen technologies and processes. This position plays a critical part in aligning and implementing these advancements across manufacturing locations, ensuring seamless integration and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: Act as the primary point of contact for Engineering and Technology (E&T) projects at manufacturing sites, overseeing onsite implementation and coordination. Develop, update, and manage E&T test pilots, implementations, and associated KPIs at the site. Support engineering initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency, schedule attainment, cycle time optimization, setup time reduction (SMED), machine uptime, and LEAN projects. Provide site-specific and organizational engineering support as needed, while educating and training employees in new processes and technologies. Support operational excellence team to evaluate and enhance manufacturing processes, identifying validated cost savings opportunities for automation and productivity improvements. Handle project based design, documentation, and implementation of manufacturing procedures, including work instructions, training programs, and workflow optimizations. Research, design, and test new manufacturing methods, software and equipment in collaboration with vendors to support process and product innovation. Lead team(s) and activities to convert data to insights, and insights to decisions and actions. YOU'LL BRING: Extensive CNC grinding and programming experience required (5+ years preferred). Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial) preferred. Demonstrate ability and knowledge of: Advanced tool manufacturing knowledge Process development, documentation, and implementation Project management Experience with Six Sigma Problem Solving Tools (i.e. DMAIC) desired. Experience with modern manufacturing execution system a plus Automation experience a plus WHERE YOU'LL WORK: 75% of the time you'll be at our freshly renovated facility resides in Meridian, ID, just on the edge of the border with iconic Boise, ID.
