What is a sprinkler fitter apprentice and how to become one

Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice works in homes, apartment buildings, warehouses, and airplanes to install and maintain the sprinkler system. You will work on all the aspects of sprinkler fitting and installation, including fixing pipes, installing sprinkler systems and hangers. You also attach sprinkler heads and fittings to pipes and ensure pipe systems do not have any leaks.

You are expected to observe all safety/environmental regulations while on the job. The sprinkler fitter apprentice works closely with journeyman fitters to learn all about the process of relocating existing piping and installation of new automated fire sprinkler systems. You will also assist the mechanic in fixing the steel and plastic components when installing the sprinkler fitter.

You can be a sprinkler fitter apprentice with a high school diploma or GED. You are required to possess physical strength and endurance. You also need to be hardworking and be able to work with other technicians such as journeyperson and foreman that you are likely to collaborate with on projects.
