The need for part-time faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters. PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Regular performance evaluations of part-time lecturers are made by the department in accord with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070. And in some instances, syllabi, assignments and reading material will be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.
APPOINTMENT AND SALARY
All part-time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers, under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Classification Range: $5,007 - $6,359 per month
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $5,295 per month
The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester. For a three-unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,008.40 to $7,110 per semester.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university related area
Teaching Certification with Schools Special Education Endorsement
Special Education Teaching Endorsement must meet position requirements
Multicategorical/Crosscategorical, intellectual, learning, and/or emotional disability special education certifications may be accepted

We are looking for short-term, long-term, part-time, and full-time paraprofessionals looking to start in August to work with K-12 across Northeast Los Angeles (Alhambra, Baldwin Park, San Marino areas).
As a Paraprofessional , you will support the classroom teacher by working with individuals and small groups to reinforce instructional material.
In this role, you will get the opportunity to positively contribute to the lives of children in special education and make a meaningful impact on their development. This role comes with a competitive hourly rate between $19 - $22 per hour, paid weekly. This role is a Monday to Friday schedule within the hours of 7/7:30 - 3:00/4:30 pm, without weekend hours required. Total weekly hours are typically 25-35. This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the classroom teacher
Work with individual and (or) small groups of students to reinforce instructed material
Assist in compiling classroom communications
Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and a safe learning environment
Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student learning experiences and support them as needed
Support with personal care or hygiene as needed, including toileting
