Process and deliver customer orders using web-based application. Receive cash payments and make accurate change. Provide exceptional customer service by phone, text, and in person during deliveries. Develop and maintain rapport with members, customers, and staff. Ensure member concerns and/or questions are solved and answered promptly and efficiently and communicate member requests and/or issues to a Dispensary Supervisor. Ensure strict controls to protect organization assets at the direction of management. Obey all traffic laws and operate vehicles in a safe and legal manner. Complete Daily pre-shift Safety Checklists on vehicle. Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect. Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. During “down time” between deliveries, assist Dispensary staff with inventory, organizing back stock, cleaning, updating websites and online menus and other tasks as assigned. Ability to adapt to a changing industry and growing organization. Maintain a valid driver's license for at least 2 years, valid car insurance showing that you're covered to use your vehicle for work and car registration at all times. Must have a reliable vehicle no more than 15 years old and a clean driving history, specifically, no more than one moving violation or at-fault non major accident in the last year and no more than 2 in the last three years, and no major violations in the last 5 years. This is a NON-MEDICATING/NON-CANNABIS CONSUMPTION position. At no time during any shift may a driver be under the influence of cannabis or any other controlled substance. That means cannabis may not be used before starting, during worked hours, or during any breaks or meal periods. Failure to comply may result in serious legal, financial, and professional consequences. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Retail, cash handling and customer service experience preferred. Must be 21 years old and submit to a background check. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work may require prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Assist customers in selecting products tailored to their needs, maintain thorough product knowledge, drive sales goals, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Deliver exceptional customer service in alignment with established standards, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and team members to foster a collaborative sales environment. Address and resolve customer inquiries promptly and efficiently, escalating to management as needed. Proactively recommend and guide customers toward suitable cannabis products based on their preferences and needs. Communicate the features, benefits, and effects of different cannabis products to customers. Accurately process sales transactions using the Point of Sale system, including cash, ACH and card payments. Uphold strict controls to protect company assets and minimize risk under management's guidance. Set up, organize, and maintain product displays, ensuring an inviting sales floor. Assist with merchandise replenishment, inventory monitoring, and participating in regular stock counts. Facilitate customer account setup and data entry, ensuring accurate records in the database. Leverage upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize transaction value and promote complementary products. Consistently meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as conversion rates, average transaction value, loyalty sign ups and total sales. Collaborate with team members to achieve store-wide sales goals and coordinate company promotional strategies. Answer incoming calls and route them appropriately to support customer engagement. Maintain an organized inventory of promotional materials and other supplies. Ensure cleanliness and visual appeal of the dispensary, including daily housekeeping tasks. Foster a professional and respectful work environment that prioritizes trust and teamwork. Adhere to HIPAA/PII guidelines to maintain customer confidentiality. Provide a welcoming orientation to new customers, introducing them to the dispensary's offerings and layout. Stay informed about industry trends, product innovations, and best practices to identify new sales opportunities. Achieve and exceed sales targets through a consultative selling approach. Perform other sales-related duties as required. Requirements PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Availability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred. Retail, cash handling, Point of Sale (POS), and customer service experience strongly desired. Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus but not required. Must be 21 years old and able to pass a background check. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work may require prolonged standing or sitting, as well as bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires manual dexterity and coordination to operate equipment like cash registers, phones, and calculators. Requires normal visual and auditory capabilities. Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a bustling cannabis dispensary with varying noise levels and temperature fluctuations. Regular contact with staff and the public is required. The role may involve handling challenging customer situations or working under tight deadlines. Flexibility to work during peak hours, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
