The Field Service Technician works independently and with a team to provide; repair, maintenance service and technical training to users of ingredient dispensing and control systems. These systems are used at feed yards, feed mills, and dairies, to assure uninterrupted and continuous feed processing operations. The Field Service Technician also works in cooperation with operations management and all of the Operational Business Teams to direct the movement of products from the manufacturer to the customer in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. To request a reasonable accommodation, notify Human Resources or the manager who oversees the position.
Service, troubleshoot, and repair all types of equipment and systems in operation at customer locations.
Monitor systems at assigned customer locations for proper operation and adjust or repair as needed.
Monitor inventory of products used at assigned customer locations to assure that inventory is always adequate for continuous operation.
Deliver products from warehouse to customer location as needed.
Provide technical assistance and training to customers as needed for proper operation of equipment and systems to achieve desired results.
Travel to customer locations in company vehicle; maintain vehicle and personal driving record to meet company requirements.
Complete all records and documentation as required.
Work overtime as required and without notice if necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned to the Field Service Technician
Required Qualifications
At least one year of work in equipment service or operation of agricultural equipment required.
High school diploma is required.
Technical school degree or college degree is preferred.
Installation or operational experience of feed manufacturing, handling, and distribution is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak limited Spanish is desired.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize.
Strong math, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Be self-motivated and organized.
Have an aptitude for and a working knowledge of Windows based PC's.
Have an aptitude for and a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic devices and their use.
Have a valid driver license and be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record check.
Knowledge of cattle feeding, feeding systems, feed ingredients, and feed formulation is desired
Working Conditions
Outdoor service work 40-60% of the time.
Lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
Occasional ladder climbing and work on elevated equipment.
Travel and On-call
Local travel 75-100% of the time.
Limited overnight travel.
Overnight travel up to 1 week / month for first year
Provide technical assistance and support as needed to customers during non-working hours (mornings and evenings) and when “on-call” (weekends).

Summary
The EVS Technician will maintain assigned area in a sanitary and orderly condition. Job Description
The EVS Technician will:
Performs general housekeeping responsibilities such as moping, dusting, vacuuming, carpet shampooing and other related duties.
Cleans and polishes sinks, tubs, mirrors and similar equipment; replenishes supplies of soap, towels, toilet paper and other dispensable items.
Strips, buffs and applies wax to floors in designated areas on a routine basis.
Picks up trash and empties wastebaskets from and transports to designated location outside building; cleans waste receptacles.
Cleans and/or chemically disinfects walls, ceilings, windows, radiators and blinds in patient rooms, hallways and other areas.
Moves and arranges furniture/equipment in an orderly fashion. Sets up required meeting and functional rooms.
Maintains outside grounds during summer months and may operate snow plow tractor for snow removal during winter months.
Removes soiled bed linen from assigned areas; makes beds with fresh linen in prescribed manner at patient discharge.
Performs all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Work requires a fundamental level of knowledge such as the ability to follow oral or written instructions and perform simple arithmetic.
Knowledge of recurrent work routines and procedures, operation of non-complex equipment normally acquired during a week or less orientation on the job.
Will have contact with patients, their families, and other RIC staff depending on work area and therefore should have appropriate interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
Normal patient care and office environment with exposure to dust, noise, offensive odors and fumes.
Occasional exposure to infectious disease when cleaning patient rooms.
Work requires the ability to move and transport objects weighing up to 60 pounds.

Uses dry dust cloths, high dusting tools, and vacuum cleaner to clean window sills, blinds, floors, and furniture. Empties ashtrays and waste receptacles, arranges furniture, furnishings, and equipment in proper order. Makes bed with clean linen following appropriate policy and procedure.
Scours and polishes sinks, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and adjacent equipment/fixtures. Replenishes appropriate supply of soap, linens, and disposable paper products.
Performs all tile floor stripping, refinishing and maintenance procedures.
Notifies environmental services team leader of supply and/or equipment needs. Reports any mechanical failure/problem or environmental defect, as observed, to environmental services team leader and/or department office.
Where applicable, moves furniture and furnishings to adequately clean area. Turns and/or replaces mattress.
Returns unused supplies to appropriate supply room. Collects trash and soiled linen from assigned areas and deposit in appropriate areas. Cleans cart and equipment on a daily basis.
Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.

Summary

The EVS Technician will:

* 3) Demonstrates a positive, supportive attitude to patient families and other personnel in emergency and non-emergency situations.
* Provides support for the following services.
* 1) Arranges furniture for meeting, workshops and community affairs according to specification of responsible department/individual as required.
* 2) Relocate furniture, equipment, etc., as requested.
* 3) Completes terminal cleans as needed.
* Cross-trained on discharge room cleans and OR cleaning to accommodate Hospital needs during peak periods or staffing needs, and complete Housekeeping Aide duties as needed.
* 1) Completes discharge room clean following hospital process.
* 2) Completes OR cleaning following hospital processes.
* Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence:
* 1) Attends all mandatory departmental and hosptial meetings and in-services.
* 2) Completes annual CBT's required.
* 3) Follows written department goals and objectives, and review annually with Manager.
* 4) Seeks education and learning experiences in areas of identified growth needs and review progress during annual evaluation.
* Maintains responsibility for attendance and punctuality
* 1) Maintains proper attendance requirement outlined in the Hospital Policy and Procedure Manual.
* 2) Plans for special days off in advance and submits written requests for time off to department management for approval per departmental guidelines.
* 3) Requests PTO time in accordance with departmental policy.
* 4) Provide adequate notice to department management absences, and in a ccordance to departmental policy calls two hours prior tothe beginning of shift.
Education/Experience Required:
* High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience 1-2 years experience with prior housekeeping experience preferred Basic computer skills perferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
* Able to operate small electrical equipment i.e., vacuum cleaners Excellenct customer service skills Ability to communicate effectively in English as related to the performance of the essential job activities outlined (including reading and comprehending chemical labels andother safety materials)

Physicial Requirements and Working Conditions:
* Job responsibilities involve walking, standing, bending, climbing and lifting throughout the work day.
* Ability to lift up to 35 pounds iwthout assistance. For lifts over 35 pounds, lifting equipment is expected to be used or lift with at least one other associte when available. Unique lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case by case basis.
