Position Summary:

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for the delivery of clean linen items and scrubs to distribution points throughout the hospital Inspects linen closets for quantities and delivers appropriate par levels. Replenishes scrub machines as needed. Consolidate linen trucks and stores linen in clean linen room. Properly utilizes the handheld data collection devices for restocking of linen closets.
Job Responsibilities:
* Ensure all clean linen is weighed in upon delivery. All clean linen is immediately taken to the authorized clean linen storage room.
* Performs other duties as assigned in a manner that is in keeping with departmental customer service standards
* Inspects all linen as it is delivered to the units, ensure that linen is free of stains, smells, etc.
* As required: delivery of scrubs to dispensing machines are performed. Soiled scrub pickup is performed and soiled scrubs are brought down to the bulk soiled linen collection room.
* Clean linen bulk storage room: Carts are consolidated, empty bins are taken to the soiled chute room. Data collected is downloaded. Room is maintained in a neat and organized fashion at all times.
* Clean linen is taken to distribution points. Inventory of on-hand supplies is taken and recorded using the hand-held device. Units are restocked with the appropriate levels of linen.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must be able to read speak write and follow written and oral instructions in English.

* Safely operate console to control automated conveyor system that receives, sorts, distributes, and conveys packaged products from storage area to loading docks.
* Become proficient with the software to manage the workforce efficiently.
* Observe materials or products moving on conveyors and observe lights on control panel to monitor flow and operation of system.
* Stop equipment clear jams, using hand tools.
* Detect equipment malfunction and advise supervisor when malfunction occurs.
* Handle and move objects - Use hands and arms to handle, install, position, and move materials, and manipulate objects.
* Monitor processes, materials, and surroundings - Monitor and review information from materials, events, and the environment, to detect or assess problems.
* Interact with SCM, ETP, and software vendors in the event that support is necessary.
* Control machines and processes - Use either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
* Direct the movement of labor in production in conjunction with management
* Process information - Compile, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, and verify information or data.
* Document and record information - Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form.
* Trouble shoot, repair and maintain mechanical equipment - Service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment.

Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
* High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a fast paced, distribution environment with in-depth knowledge of conveyor systems.
* Valid NY State Driver's License
* Ability to communicate with supervisors and peers - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
* Outstanding analytical skills to properly balance the extensive variety of SKUs ordered.
* Ability to use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data, process information, and initiate advanced database queries.
* Perform general physical activities - Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 50lbs.
* Reliable and able to follow direction.
