BJs is looking for a motivated, energetic and strategic Senior Specialist of External Communications to join our corporate communications team. The senior specialist will be concentrating on social media with proven experience on all social media platforms, a pulse on best practices and trends within the industry as well as a deep knowledge of influencer marketing. Job Summary
Conduct market and competitive research to gather insights on trends, user needs, and emerging opportunities, and present findings to the product team.
Analyze product performance and key metrics (KPIs) to assess current initiatives, identify growth drivers, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate on user research and UX efforts, including designing surveys, conducting interviews, or organizing usability testing sessions, to inform product feature development.
Draft product briefs and requirement documents in partnership with Product Managers, ensuring clarity of business goals, user needs, and technical constraints.
Create and automate workflows in Monday. com (or similar project management tools) to streamline project tracking, task assignments, and cross-functional collaboration.
Develop and maintain product roadmaps that clearly outline timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Visualize processes and concepts through flowcharts, wireframes, or diagrams to support product discovery and communicate complex ideas clearly to stakeholders.
Brainstorm and craft content such as pitch decks, feature summaries, or user-facing documentation to articulate product vision, value propositions, and user benefits.
Qualifications
Able to work hybrid schedule in Marlborough, MA. Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Actively enrolled in an undergraduate program, masters program, etc.
Can-do attitude with a willingness to roll-up your sleeves and learn.
Agile and eager to work with diverse stakeholders and tasks.
Collaborative and able to influence without authority.
Strong communication skills and able to work cross functionally.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Email) required.
This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
